Recently you may have read about me planning out my Black Friday shopping trip and also about my Black Friday Nikon D3200 purchase. Today I want to tell you about the sweet deal that I got on my new laptop, with the help of Shopular. I have found that purchasing a lot of things that I need for my blog during the Black Friday events saves me a lot of money during the year.
I Got My HP Notebook For A Steal On Black Friday
Last year, my husband and daughter were able to get in line at Walmart and get me and her new laptops for the awesome price of $150ish dollars. They were HP 2000 Notebooks. I have been using mine for blogging and it has worked well for me so far. My daughter has also been pleased with hers, which she used for school.
So, as bloggers know, I generally have, oh, about 5 katrillion tabs opened on my computer at one time. Not only does it slow my computer down, but when you get so many open, you can no longer see the flavicon indicating when the page actually is. So then it gets really confusing. So, naturally, I felt that a 2nd laptop would help me greatly since it would cut the workload to half for each computer. Plus, if my first one were to die, I would have a backup. 😉
Hunting For A New Laptop On Shopular
So, the hubs and I looked around on the Shopular App to see what might be on sale this Black Friday. We were pleased to find another HP Notebook at Walmart, for $159! Yes! So, the hubs stood in line while Amber and I stood in line for some luggage. Then Amber and I shopped around the rest of the store and got things that we generally purchase on Black Friday like socks, sleep pants, etc.
I have been using my new HP Notebook for a few days now and like it so far. One thing that I like better about the HP Notebook vs. the HP Notebook 2000 is that the HP Notebook has a number pad. It’s also thinner and feels a little lighter. So, I think that I am going to love my new computer.

I wasn’t going to go shopping on Black Friday this year, but went at the last second with my mother- and sister-in-law. Honestly, I’m not sure if anything I bought was actually on a Black Friday sale, because I just raided the cheap DVD bins for stocking stuffers, but I did get a great deal on a doctor playset for my daughter, and she’s going to love it!! Congrats on the new laptop; I definitely feel your pain about a bajillion tabs open for blogging!
