As many of you have perhaps noticed, I have not posted much over the past year or so. Almost 2 years ago, I started dating a new man, Kenny. A few months later, he had a stroke [I will write about that later this week] and I had also started a new job in sales 2.5 years ago. So, honestly, there was not much time or energy left for blogging. I ended up leaving the sales job a little over a week ago, Kenny has mostly healed now, and we got married on Friday 2/3/23. Cool date, huh?
I Got Married!
So, to say my life has changed a little over the past couple of years would be a bit of an understatement [as I am sure many of you remember reading about my meh dating life after my divorce]. Let me start out by telling you fine readers a bit about Kenny, since this is the first you are hearing about him. He is a very sweet man, a little bit older than myself. He came with a cat, TJ, so now I am the proud owner of a cat, too, and no longer just a dog person. Sadly, Daisy passed away a few months ago, so now it is just me, Kenny, Marley and TJ in the house. As many of you might remember, I live in North Carolina. He lived in Virginia and moved in with me.
Kenny loves classic cars and he has taken me to several car shows over the time we have spent together. He also really loves collecting guitars and has quite the collection. He is not an avid reader like me, but he has no problem taking me book shopping pretty much every weekend and he is even actively converting what used to be Amber’s bedroom into a home library. I will be sure to share once it is done. So, even though we don’t share all the same hobbies, he has been really cool about my love of reading and is super patient in teaching me about classic cars. I know nothing, lol.
One love we do have in common is travel. We have been on a few great trips together over our relationship and I will be sure to share them with you over the coming weeks and months. We even spent our honeymoon in a restored chicken house off the Blue Ridge Parkway! We also both really have a shared interest in stupid reality TV. I didn’t used to watch much reality TV but I have grown to enjoy the amount of silliness in them. Love Island, for instance, really makes me forget MY problems when I watch all these people who I feel certain will cringe at their behavior when they watch these shows back in their 40s, lol.
I look forward to sharing more about Kenny and TJ in the future and hope that you guys will wish us all the best on this new adventure. ๐

Congratulations and much happiness
