Republic Wireless is so different from other wireless phone companies because they use wifi first. This means that if you are at home or at a restaurant where there is wifi, your phone will use that instead of cell phone towers. Of course when you are away from wifi, it uses the 4G LTE cellular network. If you go in and out of wifi zones, don’t worry. Your phone doesn’t miss a beat. An example of this: I was at Walmart last week doing my neighbor’s grocery shopping. I had questions about some of the items on her list so I called her. The only way I could tell if I was using wifi or a tower, was by looking at my phone. It changed almost every time I checked. I heard her perfectly and the phone never cut us off. I think it is really amazing that technology can do that.

Since Republic Wireless uses wifi first, it saves them money. In turn, that saves their customers money as well. All of their plans include unlimited talk and text whether on wifi or cellular. The cheapest plan from Republic Wireless is $15, which is the plan my husband uses since he is the most economical one out of the family. I use the $20 a month package. That includes 1 GB of cell data. My son, being the most expensive of us all is using the $30 plan, which includes 2 GB of data. Republic Wireless’ most expensive is $90 for 10 GB of data. Dawn uses tons of data each month, so this would be a great plan for her. So, they really have plans for everyone. I like this company so well that I have referred lots of friends and family to them. If that doesn’t impress you, maybe the fact that all of them switched and are currently still with Republic Wireless will.

The price range is why I originally tried them out. In fact, MONEY Magazine recognized Republic Wireless for offering the best basic plan. The price is great, but I also really love the “wifi first” concept. They have also received high honors from Consumer Reports and PC Magazine. Where my house is, cell coverage is not great. In our previous experience, even if you had the “best” cell phone coverage for this area, you still only get one or two bars. My son’s room is in the basement, which makes it next to impossible to get good service. It just cuts in and cut out and is really annoying. But with Republic Wireless, his phone uses the wifi for calling and texting, it isn’t a problem anymore and he absolutely loves that!

The tower coverage is great with Republic Wireless. I have been to Charleston and Myrtle Beach, SC and my phone has offered great service and coverage. I’ve also been to Pigeon Forge, TN and the Outer Banks of NC and haven’t had any trouble picking up service. One of my close friends has service with a “big name” company and always has trouble getting service in the Outer Banks. So that is great for us! I trust Republic Wireless 100% and will put it up against any other big name company. I really love Republic Wireless and intend to stay with them as long as they keep up their excellent service.

Republic Wireless doesn’t have stores all over like other cell phone companies. But you can order a phone and the service from their website and they have a bunch of phones to chose from. Every member of my family has a different phone from Republic Wireless. I absolutely love my Moto X Pure and my son has a Moto G5 Plus and he says his phone is the best phone he has ever had. He particularly loves the fingerprint censor on it. Yes, we usually use the Motorola phones as our personal preference, but Republic Wireless offers phones from Samsung, LG, and Huawei phones, as well.
