A Tour Of The Beautiful Hotel Florence #sponsored #VisitFlo

A Tour Of The Beautiful Hotel Florence #sponsored #VisitFloCheap Is The New Classy

I have a confession to make. I really love boutique hotels. I also really love old buildings with rich histories that are repurposed as hotels. Places like the Mantissa in Hartsville, SC and the Clarion Inn Willow River in Sevierville, TN, are really cool to me. When we recently visited Florence, South Carolina, we got the opportunity to stay in another such place in the Hotel Florence. The Hotel Florence is located right in downtown Florence, South Carolina. That is really handy because all the great sites to be seen in Florence are primarily within walking distance.

A Tour Of The Beautiful Hotel Florence

Hotel Florence is a 49-room hotel built from what was originally a hardware and general store as well as a bank and jewelry shop. The flooring is still the original flooring that was installed in 1891! I would describe the Hotel Florence as business convenience meets southern charm. When you exit from the elevator onto the second floor, where our room was located, you come onto a sitting area with several comfortable chairs and a pitcher of lemon/lime water (flavored with real fruit) that is complimentary to hotel guests. This was Dawn’s favorite thing about the hotel. She thought it added a nice and thoughtful touch. There were also different pastries out there every night from Victor’s, the fabulous restaurant that is located on site.

The rooms on site are very comfortable, with all the amenities that you would expect from a modern hotel: free wifi, cable tv, turn down service, as well as room service. But, let me tell you the most amazing thing about this room was the bed. Holy cow, it was so comfortable! I will go as far as to say this was the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept on. Any hotel. Any that we have owned. Any bed ever. Hands down. I tell you, if you want a good night’s sleep this is the place to get it.

Hotel Florence is all about the history of the region, with a copy of the book, “Village to City”, located in every room, which tells about the history of Florence and the surrounding area. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that it is located in such a historical building either. You can just sense the history here from the moment that you walk into the lobby.

There is a 24/7 Sundry Store located in the main lobby where snacks and drinks of all varieties are available for a nominal price. There is also a complimentary business center for the business traveler located on the second floor. Also, don’t forget to check out Victor’s, their on-site restaurant and bar. You will find some wonderful foods and many local dishes available there. We highly recommend their grits and the seasonal specialty alcoholic beverages.

I would recommend Hotel Florence for anyone that is looking for a getaway that is unique and different from your run-of-the-mill vacations. We haven’t stayed in that many boutique hotels but we have really enjoyed the ones we have stayed in. They have such personality. And, with Hotel Florence, you can use your Choice Privileges Program since Hotel Florence is part of the Choice Hotels group of hotels. You will find yourself well rested and ready to take on the world when you awaken the next morning.

I love old buildings, especially when they are repurposed without losing any of the historic charm. If I’m ever in Florence, I know exactly where I will stay.

What a beautiful little hotel! We always end up staying at big commercial places that have about 90% less character than this place.

It looks like a really charming hotel! I like the old school feel. It seems more warm and inviting than a standard, run of the mill hotel chain!

This sounds like a nice place to stay. My favorite has to be that they have 24/7 sundry store in the hotel. This must be so cool.

I live in florence – it’s a excellent venue , the downtown area around it has alot of live music and events. The owners do alot to support the community which is great. The Penthouse suite at the hotel is really cool – big outdoor patio .

What a beautiful hotel. The bed looks so comfy, I could sink down in it with a good book. And the interior is exactly my style. I hope the opportunity presents itself for me to stay here sometime.
