DIY Upcycled Succulent Garden

March 21, 2016 by Dawn McAlexander

DIY Upcycled Succulent Garden | The New Classy

Amber loves succulents and has been growing many of them for years now. Recently she bought some new ones to add to her collection. She also decided to replant some of the ones she already had so she looked for items we already had around the house {like pint mason jars} to save money. What she came up with is super cute so I decided to share her upcycled succulent garden idea with you guys to help you with forming ideas of your own.

DIY Upcycled Succulent Garden

Last year I bought some of the cute little Easter pails that they sell at Target. I think they were like a buck apiece. I haven’t used them for anything yet, so Amber asked if she could use one. I had also bought a really pretty shower caddy but ended up organizing our shower supplies differently, so she asked if she could have that as well. I had no idea what she would do with a shower caddy in her room but you know teens. They can be pretty inventive.

After a few minutes she asked me to come check out what she did in her room. She had taken many of her succulents that were sitting in various places around the house and organized them all, neatly, in one spot. I am definitely not the green thumb in the house, but I do love me some organization, so I thought her DIY upcycled succulent garden was super cute.

Amber has some other pretty plants around the house and is thinking about ways to organize them as well. For those of you who liked this idea, I will be sharing more on here if she gets around to them soon.

Do you have cool ways of organizing your plants? Have you put together an upcycled succulent garden yourself? If so, what did you use? Please feel free to share your ideas in the comments so that we can all benefit.

I was actually planning on doing this when the weather breaks soon so that I can start the plants outdoors and move them indoors when they are ready. Looks really nice!

I made a succulent garden in teacups that I bought at my local thrift store. I love your daughter’s idea of using the shower caddy to organize them.
