My daughter and I love smoothies and they are just so quick to have while you are on the go. Amber is back in college and just doesn’t always have the time to sit down to a nice breakfast. However, she can still have a nice breakfast, she just takes it to go. One of our favorites is this Cinnamon Brown Sugar Oatmeal Banana Smoothie Recipe.
Quick & Delicious Cinnamon Brown Sugar Oatmeal Banana Smoothie Recipe
You Will Need…
1 pack of cinnamon Quaker Instant Oatmeal prepared per directions
1 pack of Maple Brown Sugar Quaker Instant Oatmeal prepared per directions
1 1/3 cup milk
16 oz Vanilla Greek yogurt
1 banana
1/2 to 1 cup of ice
To Prepare…
Prepare the Quaker Instant Oatmeal packets by the instructions given on the box. It gives you the choice to use milk or water. Be sure to use the milk instead. Add the prepared oatmeal to an 8 cup blender. This recipe will fill up the blender.
Next, add the Greek yogurt, the banana and the ice. We used 1 cup of ice which makes the smoothie a little liquid-y like we prefer it. If you like your smoothie really thick, use less ice, or none, if you prefer. If you choose none, you may want to make the oatmeal ahead and let it cool in the refrigerator for an hour or so before making your smoothies. Blend until the ingredients are well combined. Enjoy.
*Note: If you would prefer more cinnamon or brown sugar, you can add some more to taste.
This smoothie recipe is super fast to make. It took us about 5 minutes. The ingredients are also really easy to find. We found the Quaker Instant Oatmeal, Greek yogurt, bananas and ice all at Walmart.
