Gameday Recipes: Skittles Punch Recipe

Game day is a big deal in this household. My husband, especially, loves to celebrate as he grew up enjoying sports with his family. We love to make tasty meals and treats to add to the festivities of the day. We often make appetizers and meals that we need to cook, but sometimes we just want something tasty and fun, without a lot of hassle, that the kids will love, too. If you are looking for a tasty drink besides that traditional soda, that is also kid-approved, check out our Skittles® Punch, brought to you by #CollectiveBias.

Skittles Punch Recipe

You will need…
2 14oz bags of Skittles
1 half gallon orange juice
1 half gallon pink lemonade
1 2 liter lemon lime soda of your choosing
1 splash of cranberry soda {we used about 1/4 of a 2 liter bottle}

To Prepare…
Combine all of the juice and soda. If you have kids, you can even let them help if you feel they are big enough to pour drinks. We have a 2.5 gallon container that we use for punch. If you do not have one, you can mix all of the juices in a stockpot and then pour them into a few gallon pitchers.

Now pour in the Skittles. You can either start drinking your punch immediately, or you can let the Skittles dissolve. The more they dissolve, the more “Skittle-y” it will taste. It really doesn’t take long for them to start dissolving, but it does take a while for them to dissolve completely.

We recommend serving Skittles Punch with SNICKERS®, Life Savers® Gummies and/or Starburst® Fruit Chews. If you can find a nifty football tray like ours, that’s even better. 😉

If you haven’t purchased Skittles before, they are easy to find at Walmart. They come in tons of sizes and several flavor varieties, too, including Tropical and Orchard.

    That won’t work at my house. My boys react to the dyes in the candy, they are uncontrollable and the high fructose corn syrup is not an ingredient I allow in my house. That stuff is poison and the dental bills offset any savings.

    What a fun way to use the Skittles. That’s my husband’s favorite candy. He was happy to find a candy cane full of them in his Christmas stocking. 🙂
