I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Arla Dofino. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
If you are a long time reader of this blog, then you know that our family has incorporated a more vegetarian lifestyle. Yes, we still eat some meat, but we are trying to choose more vegetarian options. My husband and daughter both pack lunch, so we think it’s important to look for more lunch ideas for him for work and more vegetarian school lunch ideas for Amber for school.
Easy Vegetarian School Lunch Ideas
Vegetarian school lunches don’t have to be difficult. As a matter of fact, the vegetarian school lunch ideas that we have for you today are quite easy and fast to prepare. With fresh fruit and a little help from Arla Dofino, your child’s school lunch can be quite tasty.
Easy Vegetarian School Lunch Ideas: Bento Box
We decided to pair Arla Dofino cheese {we recommend the Gouda for this lunch box} with Roasted Red Pepper Crackers, Muscadine, orange quarters and pimento cheese stuffed olives. You can pretty much put everything around the lunch box as you like and your child can pair the foods how he or she likes.
Easy Vegetarian School Lunch Ideas: Cheese and Crackers
My daughter loves cheese, crackers and olives, so sometimes she takes this simple lunch and buys some fruit at school to go with it. We recommend Arla Dofino Smoked Gouda for this lunch and Tomato and Basil Crackers. Any type of olives are great, but we used pimento cheese stuffed olives in these pictures.
We hope that you like our vegetarian school lunch ideas. What would you pair Arla Dofino cheeses with for lunch?

I love to bring cheese ~ crackers ~ ham ~ fruit to work for lunch. Working in the ER department – it is a quick healthy lunch that can be eaten one bite at a time.
That sounds like a perfect weekday lunch for me when the boys are at school. My kids are still a little too picky for something like this.
It’s hard to go wrong with cheese and crackers. I’m sure Jake would like this, it’s a healthier more grown up Lunchable, lol.
This looks like a really great healthy lunch. I love Gouda cheese and pairing it with olives and crackers is even better.
That looks like a perfect lunch! Im always searching for new vegetarian lunch ideas. Thanks so much.
This looks like a nice alternative. Sometimes I just not in the mood for much meat. My mom told me she gets the same way.
It is amazing how many vegetarian options there really are. It really takes a lot of creativity, and you did a great job.
Thank you so much. With all the tasty food around today, it really isn’t as hard to be a vegetarian as people think it is.
My kids pack a lunch every single day. They usually don’t include cheese, but I love this meal.
This is making me want a snack. I love cheese!
I love Arla Dofino cheese, it’s so delicious. Looks like you tried a different kind than I did, I look forward to using them more often for after school deliciousness.
Which kinds did you try. We tried Gouda and Smoked Gouda and liked them so much that we went back and bought some more. ๐
I like Gouda Cheese, but brie is my absolute favorite! (although probably not as practical as a lunchbox item for a kid! LOL) What is the direct link to enter the Arla Dofino Snack-To-School Sweepstakes? For some reason the link above is taking me to directly to my own newsfeed/timeline.
I actually fixed the link. Sorry about that. It should work fine for you now. Thanks for letting me know. ๐
These look so good. We love cheese and green olives.
really great options for vegetarian meals. I try to do a lot more raw, but I would totally pack those for my kids lunches
Being Italian, I grew up eating chunks of provolone cheese with semolina bread, pepperoni and fruit as a meal when my mom didn’t feel like cooking. So, this is right up my alley. My 16 year old son would love this at lunchtime!
I am not sure that I have ever tried or heard of semolina bread. I will have to look for that.
I love to have cheese and crackers for a snack. It’s really not hard to eat a vegetarian diet once you get past having meat as the focus of your plate.
Great lunch. I have not had Gouda in a while.
My kids would love this in their lunch especially the olives. I would like the cheese! ๐
I love mixing my cheeses for lunches. Kids love stacking and making their own too!
This looks like such a yummy lunch! I love cheese and olives!
We’re not vegetarians but I’m always searching for non sandwich lunch ideas for school.
I love Gouda. It’s in my top 3 favorite cheese. I like a nice snack of cheese, grapes, apples and olives. Such a great snack and lunchbox item.
My husband loves apples. We should try adding some to his lunch next time. ๐
my younger two love bringing ham, cheese and crackers for their lunch. I may have to see if they have this one in our local grocery store and see what they think of it.
Cheese and crackers are one of our favorite snacks. This cheese looks so delicious!
Gouda is one of my favorite kind of cheeses! Sounds awesome and hope to try this soon!
Mmm, this looks yummy! Great lunch idea.
This is the kind of lunch I always used to take to work on days I packed. ๐ I think adding olives is a great idea though, that I didn’t think of before.
We’re not vegetarian but we’re really trying to eat less meat so I love these ideas.
I think if you make it fun, it could for sure work in a kiddo’s lunchbox!
Heck I’d eat this if the small fry won’t! Will you make my lunch?? ๐
Sure will. Come on over and let’s make it a tasty lunch date. ๐
This would make a perfect snack or lunch. for both kids and adults!
I love cheese, it goes with almost everything. i have tried Arla products before and they are so good.
we aren’t vegetarian but there is nothing missing from that meal. it looks well balanced and delish
Thanks for these great ideas. You don’t need meat in every dish to cover all your nutritional bases.
Yum! I’m a huge cheese fan but I never remember to try Gouda. I’m loving your ideas, looks like I have some good new stuff to add to my shopping list. I also need to find those Roasted Red Pepper Crackers. Sound SO good!
I’d far rather send the boy with a good cheese and crackers than the ‘instant lunch in a box’ that some eat every day. I’d also keep this on hand for an after school snack option.
I love cheese and olives. I could take them for lunch everyday and never get tired of eating them.
My daughter hates sandwiches, so packing a lunch for her can be a challenge. I love this idea, it is tasty and easy.
Quick, easy, and finger foods kids love. Finger foods often makes them feel that “playing with their food kid feeling.” You don’t see vegetarian options very much so it’s wonderful that you have an idea for that type of eating.
This looks like a delicious lunch vegetarian or not! I would love to find this packed in my lunch. No one packs me a lunch but hypothetically speaking. The cheese looks really good!
Havarti is one of my favorite cheeses. It creamy, mild flavor pairs well with so many different foods. I even use a bit on home made pizza.
I love cheese and olives as a combination. Yum
I love this nonmeat idea and love this cheese and olives! This would be a great Super Bowl snack to have with everthing else I am making. Thanks for the recipe!
