Easy Vegetarian School Lunch Ideas: Bento Box

We decided to pair Arla Dofino cheese {we recommend the Gouda for this lunch box} with Roasted Red Pepper Crackers, Muscadine, orange quarters and pimento cheese stuffed olives. You can pretty much put everything around the lunch box as you like and your child can pair the foods how he or she likes.

Easy Vegetarian School Lunch Ideas: Cheese and Crackers

My daughter loves cheese, crackers and olives, so sometimes she takes this simple lunch and buys some fruit at school to go with it. We recommend Arla Dofino Smoked Gouda for this lunch and Tomato and Basil Crackers. Any type of olives are great, but we used pimento cheese stuffed olives in these pictures.

We hope that you like our vegetarian school lunch ideas. What would you pair Arla Dofino cheeses with for lunch?

I love to bring cheese ~ crackers ~ ham ~ fruit to work for lunch. Working in the ER department – it is a quick healthy lunch that can be eaten one bite at a time.

That sounds like a perfect weekday lunch for me when the boys are at school. My kids are still a little too picky for something like this.

I like Gouda Cheese, but brie is my absolute favorite! (although probably not as practical as a lunchbox item for a kid! LOL) What is the direct link to enter the Arla Dofino Snack-To-School Sweepstakes? For some reason the link above is taking me to directly to my own newsfeed/timeline.

Being Italian, I grew up eating chunks of provolone cheese with semolina bread, pepperoni and fruit as a meal when my mom didn’t feel like cooking. So, this is right up my alley. My 16 year old son would love this at lunchtime!

    • Dawn McAlexander says

I am not sure that I have ever tried or heard of semolina bread. I will have to look for that.

I’d far rather send the boy with a good cheese and crackers than the ‘instant lunch in a box’ that some eat every day. I’d also keep this on hand for an after school snack option.

Quick, easy, and finger foods kids love. Finger foods often makes them feel that “playing with their food kid feeling.” You don’t see vegetarian options very much so it’s wonderful that you have an idea for that type of eating.

    October 12, 2014 at 5:05 pm

This looks like a delicious lunch vegetarian or not! I would love to find this packed in my lunch. No one packs me a lunch but hypothetically speaking. The cheese looks really good!
