Anyone who knows me knows that I love technology and techy gadgets. I especially love ones that allow me to play music throughout my home. I am a huge music fan, of many different genres. I just love to hear music. It relaxes me and helps me to be more the type of person that I want to be. Therefore, the more music, the better in my book. So, when we got offered the chance to review the new Heos by Denon Multi-Room Sound System, you know I was all for it.
Take Your Music With You With The Heos By Denon Multi-Room Sound System
The Heos by Denon Multi-Room Sound System is available at Best Buy, and it is the perfect companion for music lovers who take their music on the go. You see, the Heos by Denon Multi-Room Sound System is available in so many convenient ways that make it handy for all us music lovers! You can link several different speakers together at one time for the perfect home theater surround sound system, or, just as the name implies, you can set several speakers around your home so that when you move from one room to the next all you have to do is bring your wi-fi enabled music device, be it a smart phone, iPod or what have you, with you, and you can enjoy your music with just the touch of a button.
If you don’t have more than one Heos by Denon Multi-Room Sound System speaker and you still want to take your music with you, no problem. One speaker is very portable, light and even has a handle for you to carry it by. Just simply bring your speaker with you.
The Heos by Denon Multi-Room Sound System does require a wi-fi enabled connection and the downloading of an app (which is free from Google Play or The App Store) to your device. This is different from other sound systems of this type that usually operate off of a Bluetooth connection. Setup is not terribly difficult, however I will warn you that the initial setup requires the use of the headphone jack on your device. The headphone jack on my phone is a bit hateful, and that made setup a little trickier for me. There are other ways to set it up, however, if your headphone jack does not work. Simply read the troubleshooting section of the quick setup guide to find out how.
So, How Does It Sound?
A word about sound quality. If you are concerned about the quality of sound that the Heos by Denon Multi-Room Sound System delivers, don’t be. I assure you that the sound from this system is as rich as any high quality stereo system out there. It sounds better, to me, than the sound system in my car, which is actually quite good for a factory stereo system. I can’t crank it up while Dawn is around (that would drive her crazy) but I know from my personal experience that the sound is great. Shhhh… 😉
The Heos by Denon Multi-Room Sound System goes a little further than your typical portable sound system. It actually allows you to connect your music from your favorite streaming music app, such as Pandora, Spotify, Rhapsody or TuneIn. However, some of these apps require you to have their paid mobile service before it will allow you to connect with your system. Just to be sure of this, I contacted tech support at Denon myself when I could not stream my Spotify account. So, I know what I am talking about. You can also play music directly from your device as well. It just requires the touch of a button.
