Escape To The Laid Back Atmosphere Of Gulf County, Florida #sponsored #GCFLnofilter

April 8, 2014 by Dawn McAlexander

This post brought to you by Gulf County, Florida. All opinions are 100% mine.

How would you like to go to a beach that is unspoiled and natural? To unplug from technology and experience 43 miles of pristine and offers a view of what nature intended, ocean and sand? This is what the Gulf Coast has to offer you. With white-sanded beaches that offer gorgeous view of the Gulf Coast and St. Joseph Bay, Gulf County Florida in really is one of the last natural paradises on Earth.

What Makes Gulf County Florida Different Than Other Beaches?

What can Gulf County Florida offer you that other beaches can't? They have beckoning bayous, unexpected wildlife encounters and the mysterious Dead Lakes. Exercise enthusiasts can also enjoy seaside bike trails, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and snorkeling. Foodies can explore the historic Indian Pass Raw Bar and flavors like Tupelo Honey. Enjoy local scallops at many of the local restaurants. Enjoy the Sunset Coastal Grill that offers pecan crusted mahi mahi. If you are looking for a place where time slows down, Gulf County Florida really is a “no worry, no hurry” destination.

Gulf County Florida Is Pet Friendly!

Everyone knows that I love my little fur babies. The sad thing is that I can never bring them on vacation with me. I often think about how Puppy Mister would enjoy the beach sand and feel a bit of dismay that he has never seen it. Well, the beaches in Gulf Coast Florida are consistently among the Top Ten pet friendly beaches in the US. That reason is alone to get me there!

Don't have a pet to bring? That's okay. There is tons of wildlife to see in Gulf County Florida. St. Joseph Bay is home to porpoises, rays and turtles.

Enjoy The Quiet

When I go on vacation, sometimes I just want quiet. Don't get me wrong, I love to go do all of the fun things that travel destinations often have to offer. But sometimes I just want to get away from the computer and phone and relax. Beaches that have been untouched by millions of dollars worth of development are what I often dream about. Sparkling, clean water and golden sun-kissed sand for miles. Ah, serenity.

A perfect vacation for me would be to relax in a chair under an umbrella sipping a cold drink on the beach or by an oceanside pool. With so many miles of beaches in Gulf Coast Florida, you really could choose a different spot everyday. I like to listen to the sound of the waves lapping softly against the shoreline while the local birds singing me their lullaby.

Fresh Seafood And Fish Served Daily

Then I would journey away from the shore a little to check out all of the local restaurants. I love to try local cuisines when I am on vacation and Gulf County Florida does not leave me longing. Many of the town's residents make their living harvesting the fresh fish of the area. For generations, this has been their livelihood. So, when you enjoy amazing meals in Gulf County Florida, you are also supporting a way of life that has endured for many years.

Are the pristine beaches, coastal cuisines and laid-back atmosphere of Gulf County Florida calling to you like they are calling to me? Come visit GCFL.

You had me at natural beaches, kept my interest with pet friendly and fresh seafood and topped the scales with quiet. :). What a vacation! I love the idea of relaxing on a peaceful white sand beach, and my little girl would be excited over the idea of going on vacation. I will have to look into this.

One thing I miss living in Alaska are beaches like that. We have beaches, but not the nice sand or warm temps that have you sitting for hours listening to the water.

Although our temps are finally warming up; I would still love to visit Florida! I have always wanted to visit their beaches!
