Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede In Pigeon Forge TN #sponsored @DixieStampede

Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge TN #sponsoredCheap Is The New Classy

If you are going to be in the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville/Gatlinburg area of Tennessee any time soon, then you must check out Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede. It’s a dinner attraction with both great food and family entertainment featuring live animals and some of the most talented horse riders in the country.

It was rainy the day we went, but I think this picture looks cool, so I decided to share anyway.

Dolly Parton’s 2014 Dixie Stampede Show

Recently, the folks at Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede invited us up for Media Appreciation Day so that the family and I could check out 2014 show. We have been to the Dixie Stampede before, so we knew what to expect. But, I must say that the new show is amazing. There are live bison, doves and, of course, horses. There was some wonderful acrobatic horsemanship, along with some absolutely gorgeous performances from some extremely talented performers. I especially liked the southern belles out on the “gazebo” with their spectacular lighted dresses. I can’t even begin to describe it and for the animals’ safety, you are not allowed to take pictures during performances, so you will have to check it out for yourself.

Tasty Dixie Stampede Four Course Meal

We also received a full, four-course meal that consisted of a delicious homemade vegetable soup, biscuits, whole rotisserie chicken, hickory smoked barbecued pork loin, buttered corn on the cob, herb-basted potato and a specialty dessert. You must eat the soup. It is amazing! Between the show and the food, you definitely get your money’s worth.

Be Sure To Arrive Early To Check Out Mountain Ruckus

If you are intending on going, be sure to arrive early to check out the Dixie Belle Saloon, a wonderful pre-show experience that includes drinks, popcorn, peanuts and other snacks along with entertainment from the renowned bluegrass, country music and comedy band Mountain Ruckus. These guys were royally entertaining, and I had a blast just listening to them. I laughed so hard at times I thought my sides would burst.

Some other great things about Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede include the chance to meet the stars of the show, get a few autographs perhaps, and enjoy the hospitality of the belles as they gladly serve you at your seat inside the saloon. Also, if you are a vegetarian, let them know ahead of time and they will prepare you a strictly vegetarian meal.

Without a doubt, we believe that you and your family will enjoy the charm and personality of Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede. Be sure to check them out when you are in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede also has a location in Branson, Missouri.

It really is a ton of fun. They used to have one in Myrtle Beach, too, but they changed it to Pirate’s Voyage – which is very cool, too. It’s still owned by Dolly Parton.

I have absolutely loved Dolly Parton since I was a little girl. It is on my bucket list to visit Dollywood in Pigeon Forge and has been for about 21 years. A dear family friend vacationed there the summer of 1993. While there, a little shop? was in the process of making stained glass ornaments for Dolly’s Christmas tree and to sell. The first one in the batch was a pink butterfly, which made its way home to me. Such a beautiful memory. Thanks for sharing your experience at the Dixie Stampede and for reminding me of that butterfly from so many years ago.
