Save Cash And Time With The Food Lion Coupons Portal #sponsored @FoodLion

February 2, 2014 by Dawn McAlexander

I love coupons. And I especially love saving money. But I really really really hate clipping coupons. It’s such a chore. I hate getting up early on Sunday to go get a paper and I then hate looking at that paper the rest of week with guilt as I continuously put off cutting up the coupons. Is this really saving money?

Introducing Food Lion Coupons Portal

If you are like me and want to save money, but don’t want to allot all of your free time hunting down these savings and clipping them until your fingers bleed, then then new Food Lion Coupons Portal is for you.

With the new Food Lion Coupons Portal, you simply choose the coupons you want and load them to your MVP card. Easy peasy. But, if you are a hardcore clipping fan, they have you covered, too. There is also a section for printables! Since it isn’t the clipping as much as the searching for the coupons that bothers me, I clipped a bunch and loaded a bunch to my MVP card as well. Then I took myself to Food Lion for some big savings. ๐Ÿ™‚

There are several ways that you can save money at Food Lion…
1. Load Food Lion coupons to your MVP Card from FoodLion.com.
2. Print coupons from FoodLion.com.
3. Scan your MVP card at the Coupon Savings Center Kiosk when you enter the store {they will give you coupons based on what they think you will like – this is not part of the Food Lion Coupon Hub, just one extra way to save money}.
4. Use your MVP Card for in house specials.

What Kind Of Savings Did We See?

Armed only with coupons from the Food Lion Coupons Portal and one solitary coupon for a Cheerios BOGO that I happened to have, we took ourselves to Food Lion today to see what kind of savings we could rack up. We purchased $212.22 worth of groceries. Using only the coupons from the Food Lion Coupons Portal {and my one Cheerios coupon}, we spent $160.54. So, our maybe 10 minutes of work saved us $52.05 cents. I really wish I had a job where I earned $52.05 cents every 10 minutes. That would be pretty sweet. But since I don’t, and I don’t want to spend every Sunday afternoon scouring through the Sunday paper searching for coupons, I think this is the way I will save money on my grocery bill from now on. One awesome thing I realized was that many of the coupons on the Food Lion Coupons Portal matched up to what they also had on in-house special! Stackable savings!

We saved over $52 on groceries just using coupons found on the Food Lion Coupons Portal!

Note: We did have a couple coupons that we printed from the Food Lions Coupon Portal that came back as “invalid.” So, I spoke to the store manager to make sure that I could give you guys some helpful info about that. We had a toner cartridge go out in our printer while we were printing coupons. We changed it and printed the rest. That could have messed up a couple of the scanner lines on the coupons that were “invalid.” At any rate, all of the rest of our coupons were accepted, no questions asked, and are savings were correct on our receipt. So, I definitely wouldn’t fear using the coupon portal again. I am very pleased with my savings. ๐Ÿ™‚

Why This Couponing Method Is Better

I saved $52.05. It took me about 10 minutes to put my deals together using the Food Lion Coupons Portal. Then I took the rest of the afternoon off. ๐Ÿ™‚
