Haha I think my husband would make a good candidate. Getting him to spend money is like pulling teeth.

No, I am not. I am nowhere as inventive as these people on this show. I just use the old tricks to save money like couponing, canning, etc. 🙂

I don’t think I’m extreme enough for this show. Some of those people come up with very innovative ways to save. Others take things a little too far in my opinion!

I watched this ONCE and it was so insane it didn’t seem real. They were sharing toothbrushes and floss and it totally turned my stomach. Especially since anyone who is frugal and uses coupons can attain more free toothbrushes/floss than they would know what to do with and not need to share. Ack. Hopefully their casting call will bring some interesting ways to be cheapskates without crossing the ewww line. 🙂
Yeah, I saw one where they shared floss and I wasn’t a fan of that at all. I am with you. Hopefully the next round will be more into tips that the rest of us are interested in, and still saving tons of cash. 🙂
I’ve heard of this show but have never watched it. It does sound interesting and fun though. Hubby and I are frugal and careful with our money and we try to teach our daughter not to look at price but value. That being said, we are not rigid and do splurge sometimes.
Many years ago, I worked in a grocery store bank. There was a woman that would always ask us to make copies of greeting cards so she wouldn’t have to buy them. She would then give these copies to her intended recipients. Talk about tacky!
Oh wow! Did you make her pay for the copies, at least?
My daughter is really good at saving us money. With coupons, ads, and rewards we normally end up paying half the total. She isn’t to the extreme as most on the show, but we have our stash and save where we can.
