My Style: Get The Ombre Look #frugalfashion

August 15, 2013 by Amber {contributor}

Get the Ombre Look for less than $25 ~

This look with DIY ombre jeans shorts, an Old Navy henley tee and Ross shoes can be achieved easily through upcycling and thrifting. This entire look costed me less than $25 because I made the shorts myself instead of purchasing them at a designer store.

This week for my Frugal Fashion challenge, I chose to wear the Ombre shorts that I made and designed myself, my Old Navy shirt, and my cute strappy sandals from Ross. My favorite piece in this outfit would be my Ombre shorts by far because I believe they are very slimming and flattering to my body type. Also, they are a great way to upcycle jeans that you no longer wear.

    I’m glad we got to see you rocking in the ombre shorts. I’ve heard good things about Ross and the sandals go nicely. Show off that attitude style!

    Looking very CUTE! I think those might be a bit short for me, but perhaps I can try a similar look with a skinny jean or capri.

    Those turned out fantastic. A lot more frugal than trying to buy them already in the ombre style. I like to take old pants and turn them into hair clips for my daughter. The cute jean material is awesome in hair clips.

    I find great finds all the time at the Goodwill store. Sometimes there are even tags still on the clothes!
