Super Bowl Commercials: The Best and The Worst @SuperBowl #sb47

February 3, 2013 by Dawn McAlexander

Super Bowl Commercials ~

Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII - New Orleans

Let’s face it, we all love the Super Bowl Commercials. Some of us might even tune in to the Super Bowl for the sole purpose of seeing the Super Bowl Commercials. *raises hand* As with every year, there are some Super Bowl Commercials that are awesome and some that are not so much awesome as boring and/or disgusting. Here are some of the best and worst Super Bowl Commercials according to Cheap Is The *New* Classy Facebook Fans.

Super Bowl Commercials: The Best

Here are the commercials that Cheap Is The *New* Classy Facebook Fans thought were the best, in no particular order.

Doritos: Goat 4 Sale – Hahaha! This one is my personal favorite Super Bowl Commercial! And it was created by a fan! Nice!

Oreos and Doritos commercial – Davina Morton

Taco Bell: Viva Young – If we are only as old as we feel, then the characters in this commercial are teens for sure! Live Mas baby!

The taco bell one with old people was pretty funny…It had everyone here laughing its a good one! – Mélanie Morin

Oreo: Whisper Fight – This commercial features a fight over the age old question, “What’s the best part of an Oreo? The cookie or the cream?” – library style!  Holla! Oh wait, don’t!

Jeep: Whole Again – This patriotic commercial pays homage to those who have served the country in the military.

Just saw the Jeep/USO commercial. Just beautiful. – Patti Uzzi-Pampinella

Oprah always knows how to make me cry. – Jennifer Adams Ondo

The best commercial hands down had to be the Jeep commercial. Brought tears to many eyes. – Lisa Paone

Budweiser: Brotherhood – A man and his favorite horse meet again. So cute.

Fave: the Clydesdale Bud one. – Staci Wells Mefford

Ram Trucks: Farmer – Featuring a voice over by Paul Harvey, this commercial speaks to us about the never ending work {and many times thankless work} that farmers do to provide for the needs of America.

I loved the Farmer one which just was on. – Debbie Saville

Love God made a farmer. – Patti Uzzi-Pampinella

I also really enjoyed the commercial for the latest Fast Five franchise installment. Gosh I love those movies! I didn’t see Eva Mendes in the commercial, though. I wonder if she will be in it.

Super Bowl Commercials: The Worst

GoDaddy: Perfect Match – This commercial features Bar Rafaeli making out with some computer nerd. It looks gross and sounds even grosser. This is BY FAR the most disliked of the Super Bowl Commercials by Cheap Is The *New* Classy Facebook Fans who commented by the writing of this post.

The makeout GoDaddy one made me so uncomfortable. – Kathryn Gunderson

GoDaddy kiss commercial was awful. – Emily Stephens

I have to agree..so disgusting! – Susan Herlan

Go daddy was nasty and creepy. – Davina Morton

Seriously disgusted by the GoDaddy commercial. I have absolutely no idea what they were thinking with that and the idiot that came up with it should be fired. – Jennifer Williams

My least favorite was the Go Daddy commercial. Not only was it gross to watch, but the sound effects made it 10 x’s worse! – Lisa Paone

Wonderful Pistachios: Get Crackin’ – If you love PSY and Gangnam Style, then you will probably love this commercial. Otherwise, you might find it annoying, lol.

Least favorite…pistachio nut. – Jennifer Adams Ondo

I will have to check out the good ones, we tuned out everything in the beginning of the game. I tried to catch the end of the game and manages to miss it, still not even sure how but I did, lol.

Hahahaha! If we didn’t have a DVR and pause it when we wanted, we would have missed a lot, too!

I am so out of touch that I don’t even know who won the super bowl. Needless to say I can’t share my favorite one since I didn’t watch it. I loved the Clydesdale one when I watched it on your site. Thanks for that one.

Awww, I loved the pistachio one, lol. I thought it was cute and I didn’t get why people were hating on it.

Anyway…the goat one was really great as well and loved the farmer one. The imagery was so vivid!

      February 4, 2013 at 7:10 pm

Lol! I think maybe some people didn’t like the Pistachio one is because that guy is everywhere…kind of like how MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice and Billy Ray Cyrus got run into the ground. I was kind of neutral about that one. I didn’t really love it or hate it.

What a great run down of the commercials that I missed, I usually watch the game just for them but I spent yesterday on my maternity hospital tour so I didn’t have a chance to see any of them. Thanks for bringing me up-to-date so that I can know what people are talking about today!

The Clydesdale commercial had me in tears! I know what it’s like to train and sell the babies you raise…and it’s always so hard! Be they dogs, or horses.

Like most people I loved the Farmer, and always a fan of Budweiser Clydes, never gets old to me. Go Daddy, well they go over the line with a lot of their commercials, so not sure why people would be so surprised that they REALLY went over the line with a SuperBowl commercial!

That’s true. I said in the Facebook conversation something similar. They really love to push the envelope and we are all talking about it now, so perhaps they win in the end, lol.

Go Daddy commercial was terrible. I saw the interview clip of the supermodel and the “geek” too…sooo weird, she apparently fulfilled her dream of kissing a guy she’d never wise other kiss and hopefully it’d be in his memories for a week, or so she said.

Everyone is talking about that GoDaddy one, I heard the girl in it said that it was a dream come true for her because she had always wanted to go to a club, pick the ugliest guy there and kiss him in front of everyone. I guess it was better that she got paid big bucks to do so. lol

      February 6, 2013 at 1:29 am

Wow. I feel sorry for the poor guy in the commercial, hearing stuff like that. :/

This is the first I saw the GoDaddy one…I’m over there sexy commercials.

I liked the Kia one a lot when the guy kicked the car’s tire and the robot lady attacked him.

Oh I am not recalling the Kia commercial right off. I need to look that one up!
