Is anyone as excited to see “Oz The Great and Powerful” as I am? As a child, I loved “Wizard of Oz” and looked forward to watching it every year when it ran on TV. Anyone remember those times? Anyway, here is the new just released trailer for Oz The Great and Powerful. Let me know what you think!
Oz The Great and Powerful
The cast of “Oz The Great andPowerful” will include James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams, Zach Braff. The movie will be directed by Sam Raimi and based on characters by L. Frank Baum. James Franco plays Oscar Diggs , a small-time circus magician with questionable ethics who finds himself in the Land of Oz. Diggs thinks he has struck gold until he meets three witches: Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams). The witches think that Diggs is not exactly the great wizard that he purports to be. The reluctant hero gets drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants and must see people for who they really are before it is too late. Through his journey of illusion and magic, Diggs learns what it is to not only become more powerful, but also to become a better man.
I am really excited for this movie to come out. If you are looking as forward to seeing “Oz The Great and Powerful” as I am, sorry, you will have to wait a little longer. It comes to theaters in 2013…however, I hope that you enjoy the trailer!

I loved the Wizard of Oz as a kid, I had not heard of this. Thank you, can not wait to see it.

I just heard about this movie the other day … so excited! I, too, loved waiting for and watching the Wizard of Oz each year (always at my grandma’s house). Kids today don’t know the excitement of waiting for something to air each year with everything being so accessible LOL! Anyways, can’t wait to see this movie.
The magical scenery, elaborate set design, and big actors make this movie really intriguing! I’m a huge fan or the original, so it would be interesting to see how they remake this classic.
