Recently, Johnetta and I got to try out several varieties of Mrs. Smith’s Signature Deep Dish pies. Mrs. Smith’s offers several flavors and we were given the opportunity to try out four flavors including Signature Deep Dish Dutch Apple Pie with Caramel Sauce, Signature Deep Dish Cherry Pie with Butter Fudge Sauce, Signature Deep Dish Peach Pie with Cream Cheese Icing and Signature Deep Dish Pumpkin Pie with Cream Cheese Icing.
Johnetta really enjoyed the Signature Deep Dish Dutch Apple Pie with Caramel Sauce. She served it to her family and some guests and she said that it was just as good as any homemade pies that she had tasted. Of course, buying is way easier, too. She said that everyone really enjoyed the apple pie!
My family and I really enjoyed the Signature Deep Dish Cherry Pie with Butter Fudge Sauce. Personally, I have tasted cherry pie before that was way too sweet. This pie has a nice tartness to it that made it taste really good with ice cream. It is full of cherries, not a few cherries floating around in some goop. When we cut into the pie, the cherries actually start to topple out, because it is so crammed full. It also came with Butter Fudge Sauce. If that isn’t your thing, don’t worry, you decide whether you want to add it to the pie or not. I have never tried cherry pie with fudge sauce before but it was very good.

    I love my pie, my MOM”s pie of course is the very best, with a half glass of skim milk and a spray of canned whipping cream. Not too much though. Gotta’ taste that pie flavor!

    I like my pie plain…pumpkin is great cold but you can’t beat a warm cherry or apple.

      I have heard of people eating it with cheese, but I can’t say that I have actually seen it or tried it. It sounds interesting, though. 🙂

    It really depends on the pie… some go great with coffee…some are best warm… peach pie is best served in the summer… warm, but only just, and with iced tea 🙂 Apple is best warm with ice cream on top..etc..

    I love pie with ice cold milk and love a small scoop of ice-cream with a bit of whipped cream on a warm pie. Depending on the pie depends on the type of icecream. I usually like either vanilla or butter pecan ice cream with pie.
