Stock Yards Steak – New York Strips and Twice Baked Potatoes Review! #spon

October 1, 2012 by Dawn McAlexander

Steak from Stock Yards ~

Who loves steak? How about USDA Choice New York Strips? If you are seeking something more fulfilling and exciting than the average meal, then you should try the delicious delicacies from Stock Yards. Stock Yards offers many different fine dining foods such as seafood, roasts, steak, chops, veal, lamb, burgers, ribs, dogs, wine, sides, desserts, and more. Yes, buying from Stock Yards might be a little more expensive then items you could buy at your local market, but it is well worth it…trust me! And it is delivered straight to your door!

The first items we tried from Stock Yards were the two 12oz. New York Strips. These were absolutely delicious. Unlike steaks from other places, these were thick, juicy, and tasted like something right out of a restaurant – or even better! These steaks are “hand cut from the center of the strip loin & rich with fine marbling” according to their website. I would agree!

The next product we chose was the four 5oz. Twice Baked Potatoes. These were my personal favorite! If it’s a potato, it’s for me! After reheating the potatoes, they tasted rich and creamy. These are great to serve alongside the steaks, with a vegetable of your choice. They made the whole meal come together in just minutes. Here is what the website has to say about them: “Sweet cream and butter are blended into perfection with potato that’s piled high into each potato half, then “piped” on top for real eye appeal! Taste that’s incredibly smooth and rich.” I wouldn’t argue at all! So good!

I have already decided on what I would like to choose the next time. Next time I would like to try out the Chocolate Lava Cakes or the Carnegie Deli Cheesecake. “Made from the very finest chocolate, each rich chocolate cake oozes with a warm, molten chocolate center for true chocolate ecstasy!”The Chocolate Lava Cake looks divine and would be great to pair with a steak and side to make a perfect meal for any occasion.

I buy from Omaha Steaks but will now be checking this out. I love juicy tender steaks. I can’t believe the potatoes were so good, too. I wouldn’t have thought that. My husband and I are big steak and potato eaters. : )

The steaks look great! I’d have to say local produce can be expensive, so the price on these is pretty reasonable, especially since it is being shipped to your door. Thanks for introducing me to Stockyards

Before you mentioned the marbling, I noticed that immediately. Everything looks darn good, and honestly you do have to pay a little more for the best.

Well written and honest(talking about the cost) Most of us are on a budget. I personally will pay a bit more for quality food.We have purchased whole tenderloins only to use as scrap in chilli…

We love steaks and alot of times its hard to find a really good one at the store or market.
With our budget we cant afford steak to often but if and when we can spend the money we will try these steaks as I have not heard about them before. They do look really good. And they also carry cheesecake – wow thats another of my favorite food. Thanks for the review on everything.
