My Thoughts..
I found the service to be better than that of a typical land line telephone. It is very clear {in fact, my husband’s parents said they felt that the sound quality was far superior to that of their previous home phone} but it does get a small amount of static when you use both the phone and the internet simultaneously. Since I have yet to use a phone that doesn’t get some amount of static at some point, this is definitely not a deal breaker for me.
My husband’s parents said they far prefer this phone service and they have since cut off their cell phone service {what they were using most recently prior to NetTALK}. They say that they prefer this plan because they can use their home phone which has bigger buttons and they can hear far better with the home phone. They also live in an area with poor cell reception – this effectively fixed their phone service problems. They are very pleased!
I feel that this service is especially great for senior citizens because of the qualities mentioned by my husband’s parents and because of the cost effectiveness. This would also be a great back up plan for those who have ended their home phone phone services in favor of cell phones. Sometimes it’s a real pain when you have to wait for your phone to charge or when you want to make a lengthy minute eating call.
The only downfalls that I have seen with this product thus far was the installation. However, I think that tech savvy people will have this thing installed in a snap. They do have 24/7 technical support. I recommend that if you need help immediately that you stay on the line and not leave your number for a callback.

These are great, they allow you to carry them no matter where you go. I know it sounds horrible, but we were evacuated about a year or so ago due to the weather, I used one of these to call my mother and assure her we were fine. She saw my home number (she is not technical at all) and was relieved that we were home and safe. She never even knew we had to leave and stay elsewhere so it was less stress for her.

This would be the perfect solution for my in-laws! They have so much trouble dealing with their local phone company, and they have NO cell service at their house. I am still not able to find a reliable and cheap VOIP device, I read many Nettalk DUO Review and many buyers complained of their bad customer support where people reported that they waited 2 hours for someone to get back to them and they disconnect if they are not able to answer your questions
