My Lifestyle Changes That Helped Me Lose 11.2 Pounds In 2 Weeks
I’m Gonna Put On My Walking Shoes
So I asked in my last Medifast post about exercises that you guys might suggest that I use in order to help me lose weight. I got some great suggestions and, ultimately, decided to go with walking. I love that it’s outdoors and we have some really great trails and greenways in my town to walk on. I also like the solitude and meditative aspect of it. I try to walk first thing in the morning or I walk more towards the afternoon when I walk with my friend Michelle. And I track it all on my phone on an app. I started the app on 10/6 and have walked approximately 32 miles since then. I started out slow but I am now up to 4 miles a day. 😀
I take a bag with me to carry on my back and put a couple of waters in it, as well as my phone. After I walk, I typically sit in my car for a few minutes and answer emails and eat one of the Medifast Go! bars. I particularly like the Lemon Meringue and the Oatmeal Raisin.
Water Water Water
I drink a lot of water while I am walking but, admittedly, I have a really hard time drinking it the rest of the day. I mean, I do drink water – it’s my drink of choice – but I just don’t drink enough. So, I am trying to do much better about that. I have heard that drinking plenty of water also helps with weight loss. Whether that is true or not, it helps in overall health and I want to be healthy, not just lose weight. 🙂
My Favorite Medifast Meal, So Far
I really love the Medifast Tomato Basil Soup. I often have that for dinner with a salad. You do get to eat some things that are off the Medifast plan, while being on the plan. So you can add some variety that way, which lots of people really need.
Getting Closer To My Ultimate Goal
I have this weight in mind that I would really like to reach before I hit my 41st birthday in December. If I keep losing, at this current rate, I should be able to achieve that. And I think that would be the perfect birthday present to myself.
