Chicken Soup for the Soul: Say Hello to a Better Body!: Weight Loss and Fitness for Women Over 50 by Dr. Suzanne Koven
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Chicken Soup For the Soul books are always really good in my opinion. I love how they take related stories from real people and compile them into inspirational books. This particular Chicken Soup For The Soul book is called “Say Hello To a Better Body: Weight Loss and Fitness for Women Over 50.” Although this book is geared toward 50+ women, as a 35 year old female, I found a lot of useful information and advice from a group of women that I would still think of as peers.
Some stories that were especially fun or inspirational to me…
Water Walking – A woman finds a group of fun friends in a water aerobics class.
Newly Hip – A group of friends aid each other’s healing after surgery.
Running Like Sixty – Expatriates find fun in an exotic location’s traditions.
My Walking Buddy – A woman finds a workout companion in a furry friend.
Life On Foot – A couple rekindles their romance, one step at a time.
Back To Exercise – A woman makes a comeback after a traumatic knee injury.
I really enjoy hearing others’ inspirational stories of overcoming hardships and meeting personal goals. I think that any person who would like to hear others’ personal triumphs will be able to enjoy this book.

I love how inspirational Chicken Soup For the Soul books are. Thanks for the interesting and informative review!
I always enjoy the Chicken Soup books, I have to get this one. I’n ‘only’ 38 but I suffer from PTSD, depression, agorophobia, panic and I have serious pain issues, so basically I don’t leave the house, I exist in bed and I do nt exercise anymore. I just don’t have the motivation and I used to be obsessed with fitness before life threw me a curveball. I hope this book gives me the positive motivation to get moving, I hate feeling this weak and out of shape. Thank you for this review so I know about this book.
