Tips To Easily Update Your Style

Tips To Easily Change Your Style

If you ever feel as though you have a full wardrobe, yet nothing to wear, you are facing a problem that needs to be addressed. It’s normal to have this feeling now and again, however, it shouldn’t be something you’re faced with every day. If you no longer feel a tingly feeling when you look in your closet, it might be time to update your style.

Is It Time To Change Your Style?

What Are The Signs That You Need To Update Your Style?

Before you jump in and immediately start purging cash, you need to really think about if you actually need to change your style or just minimally update your wardrobe. Most people don’t need to totally change their style, as they pretty much already understand what their tastes and preferences. Instead, most people really just need a little refresh from time to time. Here are some reasons to consider changing your style completely though…

  • You aren’t excited by your clothes anymore. At all.
  • You’ve gone through some changes [mentally or physically] that have made you feel like a different person.

If any of these apply you, consider the following…

Buy Basics That Work With Multiple Outfits

Basics include items like plain t-shirts, simple dresses, jeans, and swimwear such as S&S Bikini Bottoms and jumpers. Choose muted colors or patterns that can be mixed and matched with many other items in your closet. These items might not look like much by themselves but when they are styled with other carefully chosen items, they form the base for many gorgeous outfits that will leave you feeling stylish and put together. Remember: the key is making sure you are choosing textures and fabrics that are versatile and can be complimentary with many pieces. This adds up to multiple stylish outfits. Once you have these integral, classic pieces, you should be able to build many gorgeous looks quickly and with minimal hassle.

Create Yourself A Uniform

Ok, so it might seem boring to think of anything in your closet as a uniform, however, if you start with a trusted go-to look to build upon, you will find it so much easier to dress stylishly with minimal effort. And with the addition of a few well chosen pieces to your style arsenal, you can easily change your look to suit your mood.

Remember Quality Is Better Than Quantity

A lot of people fall into the mistake of buying loads of cheap clothes as they feel like the key to a great wardrobe is quantity and choice. However, buying a few quality pieces that will last for years is always the better option. Classic, non-trendy pieces will last for years and still look good, while making you feel more confident. Also, too many choices can often feel overwhelming. Quality clothes can take many washings without pilling or fading, they wear well, and overall, they look more stylish. You will also find that better quality, less trend-setting clothing is easier to mix and match, leading to more outfit selection options overall.

Wrapping Up

If you often feel like you have nothing to wear, why not do something about it sooner rather than later? With this short guide, updating your look doesn’t need to be a hassle. Remember: Consider the basic wardrobe first, opting only to buy quality clothing that emphasizes a basic, trustworthy “uniform” to build upon. With a great starting point and a few, well-chosen extras, changing your style will be something you can do easily and as often as you like.
