It’s almost here, people. Football season is coming in hot. And you know what goes great with football? Tailgating. We think that you are going to love this simple and tasty Grilled Lemon Garlic Shrimp Kabobs recipe that is perfect for your favorite tailgating event. You can either throw these on the grill or cook them in the oven ahead of time. Easy peasy.
Tailgate Grilled Lemon Garlic Shrimp Kabobs
This recipe is so easy to make that it is ridiculous. You can make it on the grill or in your oven ahead of time to take with you. And you can pick up everything that you need {seasonings, butter, fruit} at Save-A-Lot.
You will need…
Shrimp {we used 18 and made 4 kabobs}
Butter {to taste}
Garlic Herb Seasoning {to taste}
Skewers {2 skewers}
Preparation
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Peel shrimp and stick a skewer through both the tail and head. This should end up looking like a cent sign. Be careful not to do it too close to the ends or the shrimp will fall apart. Put skewers on an oven pan and set aside.
Melt some butter in the microwave and spoon over skewers. Then sprinkle on garlic and herb seasoning to taste.
I like to also put lemon, lime and tomato slices around the pan so that they can cook with the shrimp kabobs.
Put all of this loveliness in the oven and let it cook for 7ish minutes making sure that the shrimp is fully cooked.
Remove from oven and squeeze lemon over the shrimp and get to eating. Nom. Nom. ๐

THIS. IS. AWESOME! We don’t tailgate at the actual game, but we do have friends over pretty much every game day. I can’t wait to serve these up while we all scream at TV and tell refs who can’t hear us how terrible they are at their jobs. LOL
