For as long as I can remember, I have been familiar with the iconic Folgers® jingle as I am sure most of you have. You smell that rich aroma in the morning and voila, the song is in your head. Now Folgers is giving new musicians the chance to come up with their own version of the famous jingle. Interested singers and musicians can take the popular Folgers jingle and rework it into their own version, for a chance at $25,000!
I am sure that you already know the Folgers jingle. Well, here is your chance to change it up, make it your own and possibly score a big payday for your efforts and creativity.
This year, Folgers has teamed up with country music singer-songwriter Chris Young {yes!} to encourage aspiring musicians to create their own version of the iconic Best Part of Wakin’ Up™ Jingle in the Folgers Jingle Contest.
Participation is simple. Here is what you need to do…
Submit a video of your best version of the Folgers jingle on the website now through February 27th. Be sure to include the complete melody and complete lyrics of “The Best Part of Wakin’ Up is Folgers in Your Cup,” in your version of the jingle to be eligible to win.
Then, from February 27th to March 19th, Folgers will choose 5 semi-finalists who will each will have a mentor session with Chris Young before the online vote. After that, from March 27th to April 24th, fans around the country will get the chance to vote daily for their favorite jingle. Every vote automatically enters you to win prizes up to $10,000. And finally, in May, one winner will be selected to win the grand prize of $25,000!

I am not musical inclined at all, but what a great opportunity for so many people. I don’t watch commercials so I have no idea what their jiggle is, but allowing people to be creative is a great way to promote oneself.
Ok I have to admit that I had no idea what the Folgers jingle was. We haven’t had tv service for years, and so ads aren’t something we watch. As soon as I watched the video though it did come back to me.
I hate to see the old jingle go. I remember having that in my head a lot, and still do! I am excited to hear the new one.

I grew up with my mom drinking Folgers every morning before work. Now when she visits the first thing she asks is if we have Folgers! The jingle is iconic and one we sang daily in our home when I was a child.
My 11 year old is constantly composing original songs for the piano- I can’t wait to get him to make up a jingle for my favorite coffee brand! Thanks for putting this on my radar!
