I love Christmas decorations but what I don’t often like is the price. Seasonal decorations can be so expensive and then you just pack them up until the next year. I really don’t want to spend a lot on something I only see occasionally. So I decided to make myself some snowflake votives this year. They were quick to make, very cost effective, and when you make something yourself, you can make it just the way you want it. ๐
Easy DIY Snowflake Votives
If you want to make DIY snowflake votives just like mine, then you will spend a little over $7 total for the two of them together. I used the fake flicker type candles in mine, but you can also use real candles. If you use the M&M ones that I have pictured, then it will cost you about $8 total + tax for all of the supplies that you need at Dollar Tree.
You Will Need…
2 glass votives of your choice from Dollar Tree {make sure you choose ones that your candles will fit in}
4 packs of snowflake stickers {you will use the 2 smallest snowflake stickers out of each pack}
1 pack of flicker candles {or substitute 2 real candles}

Make sure that your votives are really clean. I recommend cleaning them thoroughly with glass cleaner and then wiping them completely dry.
Take the two smallest stickers from each of your sticker packs and affix them to your votives on all 4 sides. Make sure that they are stuck really well.
Your snowflake votives are now ready for the candles of your choosing. I used the fake flicker candles for mine. If you have allergics, are asthmatic, or want to use these around children, I highly recommend them. They take batteries and it’s no big deal if you forget and leave them on.
See, wasn’t that easy?

Inexpensive craft, I mean. Love those. (sorry about that!)
Lol!
What a smart idea! I did not know you could make those at home so easily!
Well isn’t this just a genius idea?!? They certainly look like they are top dollar. What a cute decoration!
Thanks a bunch! I always like to choose something inexpensive to make. I hate to waste money. ๐
These look amazing! I wasn’t planning on decorating much but these are something I could keep around all year.
This is one of the best winter themed projects I’ve seen in a while! I love it!
That looks great! The best part is that without anything like “Noel” on it, you can just use it as a winter themed decoration all season long.
That is definitely true. I am fortunate that I just really love simple snowflakes. It’s so easy to make them work. ๐
Neat idea, and so inexpensive! I’ve never thought to decorate plain votives with stickers like this. It’s so simple even I could do it!!
Those snowflake stickers are very nice and classy. I could even make use of it as a window decoration.
I do think they would look great on a window. We also have a sliding glass door that I think they would look pretty on.
This turned out so great and is so simple to do. I will have to try making a few.

That is such a brilliant way to dress up some boring votives. And so simple, anyone can do it!
what a great way to dress up plane tea light holders for the holidays!!
These are so cute. I love how simple they are to do. My kids could do them!
Those are super cute! Can the heat of the candle melt the adhesive on the stickers?
It hasn’t for me. I would assume that the glass protects it. However, I wouldn’t recommend putting a massive candle in there.
Those came out great. I think it’s an easy/fun way to make the candles festive, and it looks attractive too.
those are so cute. I would never have thought of that, I may just have to try that.
Oh wow these are so pretty! I would love to have these in my home for holiday decorating!

Umm… I love this. It is really simple and inexpensive and I love that the lights are not candles. What a really great idea!
What a beautiful craft! I love that its affordable but looks so elegant.
Those are so pretty and look like something that even I could do! So smart that you put in battery operated candles this way you can turn them on and off whenever you want without having to constantly replace the candles or sorry about the soot making the votives need a cleaning after each use.
That is easy. It really dresses up the look. Very festive for the holiday season.
These are so gorgeous! I would love to make these for the Holidays next year and have them all over the house lit. They are so pretty and easy to make. Thanks for the craft idea!
