Dove Helps Women Realize What They #FeelBeautifulFor #sponsored

Thanks to Global Influence and Dove for sponsoring this conversation today. All opinions are completely my own.

The Dove Self Esteem Project Helps Women Realize What They #FeelBeautifulFor #sponsored

When I think about the society that I have been, and currently am, growing up in, I am deeply saddened by the way that many people choose to perceive beauty. We live in a society where unrealistic standards are put upon women starting at a very early age. All around us we are surrounded by this unrealistic ideology; it’s plastered in the media, every magazine on the stands, where it is eventually etched into our minds. That is why when I have a daughter of my own some day, I want to make sure that she knows she is beautiful. No matter what size, what color, what anything – she is beautiful. I want her to know that the most beautiful thing she can do is be herself and be happy.

This is one of the main reasons I am such a loyal user of Dove. I love how the Dove Self Esteem Project promotes the love of all body types, and I feel so empowered by it. It’s nice to see such a popular brand break our cultural norms and stand for what they really believe in. It’s about time that a beauty product helped people feel beautiful about themselves, and not just beautiful when they put the product on.

In order to keep up to date with their current events supporting girl’s self-esteem, I frequently visit the Dove Beauty page on Walmart’s website. Not only does it tell me more about the Dove Self Esteem Project campaign, but it also lets me know the latest deals on Dove products so I can save some money.

Thank you Dove for helping this teen feel my confidence grow. When I do my hair, I do it for me. When I get dressed up, I do it for me. I have decided that I feel beautiful for me. I feel beautiful because the girl in the magazine may have been photoshopped, but I have true beauty. Just the way I am. I feel beautiful for ME.

Who do you feel beautiful for?

I love your mindset of doing those things for you. It really is sad to see how women and teens treat themselves when it comes to their outward appearance and self esteem. This is a great campaign from Dove.

Dove is a fantastic brand and I Love that they use their brand for good. Building self esteem is so important. I live to be the example of confidence for my daughter, I think it’s so important to be an example for our young girls today!

Wow this brings up such an important topic and point. We need to be mindful of how younger girls perceive our own self-criticisms. I love that Dove takes this stance on beauty!

I have loved Dove’s latest campaigns about accepting yourself. I think they’re so important in a world where girls are taught not to like how they look.
