Initial i thought is is crazy to rent used books when a friend told me about this but after reading your article and visiting the recommended sites I think this is more of a Nobel act then simply making money.
Oh, how I wish they had this when I was in college! Over $1,000 per semester to buy books, and sold them back for about 15 cents on the dollar! And some they wouldn’t even buy back, because they “changed the edition” – all that meant was that the cover of the book was a different color. Arrrgghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great and useful find. I have so many books (still) from all the degrees/professional exams I took as I thought they will be useful one day, well they aren’t. In 2012, when I moved to Spain from the UK, finally got rid of my tax books as they never will be useful, things change every year!

That is a great idea. Those books can be so expensive. And, large. Something you don’t want to have to store when you’re done with them.

Saving money in college is so important, and this is a great strategy. But as a professor, I would also encourage folks who are really struggling with finances if the prof has the book on reserve or even an extra desk copy. Shhhh…insider trick 😉
