The science fiction movie, Pacific Rim, is directed by Guillermo del Toro, and set in the 2020s. The Earth is at war with Kaijus and is roamed by colossal monsters from an inter-dimensional gateway on the Pacific Ocean floor. Humans create the Jaegers to try to ward off the monsters. The Jaegers are humaoid robots controlled by two pilots with linked memories. Raleigh Becket is called out of retirement to mentor new pilot, Mako Mori and take on the Kaijus in a final, epic battle.
