BISSELL Cleaning Tips: 5 Most Often Forgotten Places To Clean {That Guests Will Notice}

If you are planning on doing any entertaining this holiday season, these cleaning tips will help you make sure that your home is in spic and span condition. That is why BISSELL is offering up this list of fall cleaning tips which include the Top 5 places in that home that are most often looked over when you clean, but that your guests will notice.

1. Stairs and railings – I have to admit, I don’t think much about cleaning the railing, but I do like to clean the steps.

2. Also, we tend to forget the corners of ceilings {guiltily raises hand}.

3. Underneath our furniture – yep, when we rearrange the furniture – we find all kinds of goodies {and not so goodies – dustballs, anyone?

4. Frames for the windows and the doors.

5. Behind the bathroom toilet.

Other often overlooked places to clean include: ceiling fans, vents, artwork and computer keyboards {my keyboard gets super nasty with pet fur – my fur babies sit on my lap when I blog}. These areas can get really dirty – so be sure to pay attention to them, too.

Are you guilty of missing any of these spots? If you are, you might be pleased to learn that the BISSELL PowerGlide® with Lift-Off® Technology’s PGLO lift-off pod, creive tool and swivel steering can help you get these spots that you might otherwise be missing.

Fall Cleaning Tips: Kids and Pets

The BISSELL PowerGlide® with Lift-Off® Technology is so lightweight and convenient that you might even be able to kid the kiddos or the hubs to help. 😉

If you make an age appropriate chorelist for the entire family, cleanup can take basically no time

Also, concentrate on quick touchups when you don’t have tons of time to clean. These should only take about 5-15 minutes for each room of the house. Also, remember that your pets are not only in one room of the house, so make sure to clean everywhere they go.

The BISSELL PowerGlide® with Lift-Off® Technology really is the vaccuum that can clean every room in the house.

Fall Cleaning Tips: Make A Fall Cleaning Checklist

Cleaning isn’t just for spring. Before winter sets in, it’s important to do another thorough cleaning of the house from top to bottom. Here are some areas that might be great to tackle this fall…

Cleaning out cabinets, drawers and cabinet tops and catchalls that have accumulated since spring cleaning and need another clean

Cleaning floors

Cleaning upholstery – this is especially important if you have pets and/or allergies

You are so right about ceilings. I’ll never forget when my parents visited me in my first apartment, and my mom pointed out the mass of dust on the ceiling fan and the cobweb in the ceiling corner. Here I had worked so hard at making sure that the floors and shelves were clean that I completely neglected the ceiling areas. Never will that happen again- I was horrified!

Great tips and points. I never think of the rail or behind the toilet and shudder at he germs I’ve missed. I just cleaned our ceiling fan blades, and it’s amazing how much dust collects here. Important to clean before using. Another place I had never considered are light bulbs until a friend told me about having to clean hers.
