Facebook Featured Likes Tutorial ~
If you are a Facebook page owner {i.e. my Cheap Is The New Classy Facebook Page}, then you have a “likes” box on the top of your right column below your header. But, did you know that you can decide what goes in that box? We either like some businesses and pages better than others or we feel they go better with the theme of our blogs, so why not suggest certain ones that we think our fans will like as well?
Facebook Featured Likes Tutorial
I admit, I had to mess around with my page for some time before I could figure out how to do this. It was a big waste of time. So, I assume that some of you might now know how to do this either, so here is an easy tutorial to follow to choose your own Facebook Featured Likes.
First, log into your page and click on Edit Page at the top of your header. Then click on Edit Settings in the drop down menu.
Next, you will click on More {the 4th option over}, Settings will be highlighted because that is the page that you are on. But be sure to click on More.
Next, click on Featured in the drop down menu and you will be taken to another screen.
Next you will see a list of the companies and pages that you have liked from your fan page {these are not the likes from your personal page}. So, any company that you want to feature needs to be liked from your fan page. You will want to click on Edit Featured Likes.
For the purposes of this tutorial, I have chosen to feature Dollywood, so I placed a check in the box next to it. The unchecked boxes are companies or pages that you have liked, but that you are not currently featuring. Don’t worry. You can change this at any time. Simply follow the previous steps to get back to this point – then check/uncheck as you need to change your Facebook Featured Likes. After you check the companies or pages that you would like to feature, click Save.
Next, go back to your page to check out your handiwork. Don’t worry if your new featured page doesn’t show up immediately. Depending on how many pages you have featured, it make take a few page refreshes to see it.
Now you can introduce your fans to cool pages that you think they will like. 🙂
