Cross Off Hunger With Unilever and Feeding America ~
Many of us don’t think about the products that we use all that much, especially the parent companies of those brands. I am sure that you have heard of Unilever, but the name might not ring an immediate bell as the products I am sure you use by them don’t necessarily have Unilever in big bright letters. However, I am going to start looking for this Unilever branding much more and I am going to explain why you should, too.
Cross Off Hunger With Unilever

Unilever is a company that is trying to work on a goal of sustainable living. What that means is that they are trying to do what they can to help preserve our environment so that we can all have what we need down the road – kind of like a circle. If we are good to the environment then the environment will be good to us. It is also about better well-being and making sure that we get the proper nutrition we need to be healthy.
On Unilever’s website, you can learn about how to Cross Off Hunger and about the important role that food banks play in making sure that many people have the food they need to take care of their families. From this site, you can even find out what food banks need the most and you can learn where food banks are in your area. I feel very fortunate that this holiday season I have this nice house that I live in and this nice laptop to talk to you guys on. I realize that not everyone has the same luxuries that I am afforded.

That is why Unilever and their family of brands have teamed up with Feeding America to help put food on 2 million families’ tables. That is part of Unilever’s even bigger sustainable living goal of helping to improve the lives and well-being of a billion people worldwide.
Unilever is committed to donating more than two million meals to families in need with Feeding America and every item on your shopping list counts. Show your support by adding Unilever brands to your cart next time you shop. Together we can help to Cross Off Hunger.
I want to show my support to Unilever’s initiative by choosing Unilever products this holiday season (and beyond). Unilever makes many wonderful products that I use on a daily basis. Some of my favorites consist of Dove, Axe, Ragu, Country Crock and more. My husband loves Axe products and I think they smell so good, and I love the way Dove makes my skin feel. With the quality of their products, I find it is very easy to choose Unilever products.

My family will be trying to do it’s part by changing some of our behaviors around our house to make us more energy efficient. By doing this, we hope to lower our impact on the environment, thus helping to preserve our natural resources. We will also try to learn a little more about recycling (whether that be at a traditional place you take your items to be recycled or by creative reuse of items to prevent their addition to the landfill). Yes, we are only one family, but if everyone did what they could to help the environment, there would be more natural resources for all. I will also be purchasing more Unilever products like the ones I have been showing you in this post, and updating this blog with my progress to show you my support for Unilever’s initiative to Cross Off Hunger.

I didn’t realize Ragu was part of Unilever! We have grocery shopping this weekend so I plan to help out. Thanks for sharing this – I love when companies give back!

Thank you for sharing this. They have great product..
Unilever is awesome! I always look for their coupons!
I had no idea they were such a great company. Thanks
love that you are doing this especially around the holidays
I never even knew of unilever so thanks a bunch for sharing 🙂
That is stuff I normally buy. Glad to see them helping. I also shared this post on FB & Twitter.
Wow Unilever has to do with Ragu, hmm I never realized, I always thought they were just drugstore items. Love more of their products then I knew, thanks for sharing!
great post, It’s great what they are doing.
I love that they pay it forward, I will definitely look for their products. Some I already use!
Unilever is known to manufacture good products and its good to know that they are also into a great advocacy.
Its nice to have this company remember that we have people here in our homeland that are starving and keep the charity here at home. I am not against helping other countries, I just think we need to do more to help out here at home
This year we did great. My husband’s business is growing at a rapid pace and for that I am grateful. Volunteering at a food bank this holiday season would be a great way to say thanks and to share our wealth with those in need. I love it when companies care for their costumers.
Any brand that makes efforts to give back to the community in a big way is ok in my book!
I love their products and the fact that they want to make a difference. I’m an even bigger fan now!
I love when you can help others through simple acts.
Unilever is a great company! I love their commitment to helping others.
Thank you for sharing this info about Unilever! I didnt know that they were behind the dove campaign “for Real women” and that they are so active and prominent in sustainability and hunger based charity. I will absolutely support them by purchasing their products! Wouldnt it be exciting if they could change and minimize packaging to create less waste? GREAT POST!
Thanks! I purchased my items at Sam’s Club in bulk, so hopefully that helps a little on the packaging being there are less individual packages. I have seen a lot of companies working harder towards sustainability. I hope it continues. 🙂

This is an awesome thing that Unilever is doing. I buy many of their products on a regular basis, but had no idea until now, of what they are doing. I will certainly continue to do my part by purchasing their products as well as continue recycling to help the environment!
It’s wonderful that Unilever is doing so much to feed the hungry. I’ll have to take a closer look at the brands and try to buy them when I can.
