Easy Chicken Bake ~
Most of us like to think outside the box. Sometimes you have to examine the box a little closer. There could be a delicious surprise waiting on a box near you.
My BFF invited me over for dinner and a night of girl talk. The meal was so good that I asked for the recipe. My BFF giggled her way to the pantry. Turns out this recipe was from a box; Kraft Stove Top Stuffing Mix.
Easy Chicken Bake Recipe
I’m not a big fan of boxed stuffing, but I have to admit, I liked it so much that I made it the next night. It was a very easy recipe. I think even a food-deprived teenager could make it.
You will need:
1 box Kraft Stovetop Stuffing {cooked}
1-1 1/2 lb. skinless chicken breasts cut into 1 inch pieces
one can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/3 cup of sour cream
one bag {16 oz} frozen mixed vegetables drained
*Since I like to think outside the box, I skipped the veggies this time.
Preparation:
To make the recipe even more time-consuming, I just used a package of chicken cutlets (4). I simply laid the cutlets in a 9″ pie dish, and layered the ingredients. I quickly spread the sour cream on top of the chicken and the can of cream of chicken soup over the sour cream.

Lastly, I added the cooked Kraft Stovetop Stuffing Mix and popped the dish in the oven for 30 minutes at 400 degrees.
The only thing missing was a good glass of wine! I believe Easy Chicken bake is a very easy, budget-friendly recipe that could feed 2 to 4 people. I went to the grocery store unarmed (No coupons). I did get lucky, the Stove Top Stuffing Mix and the Campbell’s Cream of Chicken soup were BOGO. I spent $12.35, less than 5 minutes prepping and had a Delicious meal 30 minutes later.

This looks delicious, quick and easy!! YUM!
OMG that looks amazing!
Looks like a great recipe! Thanks!
Looks delicious! Its recipes like that that make me hate being Gluten Free! My kids would love it though!
Yum and I’m starving. Yes I do believe a glass of wine would go perfect.
I’ve made slow cooker chicken for years. I love it. I skip the sour cream and vegetables. You can start it in the morning and it’s ready for dinner. I found the recipe in a slow cooker cook book.
That sounds good! You should share the recipe here. 🙂
Dawn
Campbell’s Soup and Stove Top are two of my favorite things, I will definitely be trying this.
Oh yum! Do you think you could use left over turkey in this as well?
That’s a GREAT idea! I would totally try that. 🙂
Dawn
Very nice!! I wonder what adding left over turkey vs chicken will taste like. Great idea!

This recipe looks easy and sounds good. I’ll have to give it a try.
Since I have pinned this recipe I thought I would comment on it too. Sometimes these mixtures of semi- pzckage and semi home prepared dishes can be delicious. I love hw you can always change it a little. You left out the veggies, but you could also add different veggies.
I’ve made something similar before.. Not exactly like that, but the thing about it is it’s soooo good and very quick and easy!! I love baking with Campbell’s condensed soups because there is sooo many different things you can do wit them… My personal favorite is Cream of Mushroom.. i love to use that for almost everything!!!!
Yum!!!
I have a simple recipe that can be done on the stovetop that I will share if interested. It us Chicken and dumplings made with the condensed cream of chicken soup. Its made in a skillett.
Yes, please do share!
Thanks,
Dawn

This looks really good! Reminds me of Thanksgiving 🙂
This sounds yummy but more importantly it sounds easy and does not use a ton of extra ingredients like some recipes do. Thank you for sharing this with us..
You are welcome! I hope you enjoy it if you choose to make it!
Sounds Delicious and easy – I think I have most of the ingredients on hand too
This is the kind of recipe I can make. Not only that the guys would eat it.

Now this one looks like I could handle it and it looks good!
This looks so delicious and easy. What a great way to enjoy some comfort food!
I love recipes that are easy to prepare and taste delicious. Moreover with the vegetables in the same dish it is a one -dish meal
Great comment about taking a closer look at the box. For holidays, I’d rather make my own stuffing, but Stove Top is really yummy, too. We often cover chicken with cream of chicken soup and bake it, but I had never thought about adding stuffing as a crust. Interesting. Sounds yummy.
I like to cover chicken with cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery and bake it, too. I haven’t tried the cream of chicken over it, but I am sure that is delicious as well. 🙂
Hello! to me! I ‘m excited about this recipe – I would include the veggies – this is a great combo, I adore everything in this recipe, I would have never thought of combining them. I would love to try this and I bet it will be a bit hit!
at first glance this looks yummy but then i see one of the ingredients is stuffing and i am iffy. im not a big stuffing fan but still worth trying
Oh, I love stuffing. When Thanksgiving rolls around, it’s one of the things I look forward to most. I especially like it with celery in it. 🙂
sounds yumy!!
that looks really good
that looks really good. i typically don’t like stuffing but i think in this way it would taste good.
wow, this looks yummy and super easy to make!
What a great recipe – and such an easy one to customize. I can see adding cranberries to the stuffing mix, for example.
I’m not real big into stuffing, but I know my husband will eat this up! Thanks for sharing 🙂
This looks good! I like making things with very few ingredients — it makes me feel like I know what I’m doing in the kitchen! 🙂
