The Patriot Hand Crafted Steel Fire Pit From Ohio Flame Review! #spon #laborday

September 2, 2012 by Amber {contributor}

Fire Pit From Ohio Flame ~

Imagine it… you’re at home, bored and it seems like there is nothing to eat. You want the delicious taste of grilled food, but you feel it’s too cold outside. What to do? I have the PERFECT solution! A fire pit from Ohio Flame! A fire pit is great for turning boring and simple foods into not only a delicious meal but also a fun gathering spot for family and friends!

Image Credit: Ohio Flame

So, you love the idea of cooking with the family while snuggling up beside a fire, but you wouldn’t want to ruin your yard…would you? Sure building a fire to cook with can be fun, but it can kill the grass (which can take weeks to come back…if it does). Plus, who really wants to dig a hole? What if you tire of the build in fire pit? Then you have to fill it back in. Yuck! The easy solution to this inconvenient issue is a fire pit!

Grilled veggies, steak and shrimp over an open flame anyone?

Our family used our fire pit for the first time the other night and I was great! We made our version of shish kabobs with mushrooms, shrimp, steak, potatoes, onions, and peppers. They were absolutely delicious! Not only was the food great, but sitting beside the fire on a chilly night with the family is always memorable. We also used our campfire skillet {basket} and made all of this yumminess you see above. I think this works great for vegetables!

Mmm…grilled sirloin tips!

We then took the meat and put it back on the skewers so that we could each cook our tips to our own desired doneness. It is so much fun cooking over an open flame. One of my favorite things to do around Christmas is to go to an area bonfire and roast marshmallows – now I can do that at home! I am so excited!

Fire pits are great for burning downed limbs and other green debris

Not only can you cook yummy shish kabobs, but you can also roast other things such as marshmallows, hotdogs, smores, and other heavenly food. You can also just sit by the fire and relax. The combinations are endless! My family and I couldn’t be happier with our new fire pit. It is spacious and on top of everything, it’s also beautiful. It’s easy to clean and we will definitely be using it a lot in the near future.

Ohio Flame fire pits naturally darken with age

I would recommend this fire pit to anyone and everyone! Not only is it beautiful and fun, but it is also affordable! I love my new fire pit!

    I also, AM JEALOUS. I need a new, better fire pit. We, like lots of other Americans, love our little cookouts. It is time up here in the north, for some evening at the fire. The mosquitoes are being killed by the cool weather so we can actually SIT out again evenings. I’m impressed by these pits, WELL made, solid, not chintzy. And MADE IN AMERICA. I have learned that “you get what you pay for” and a firepit like this would be worth it.
