Broken Sewing Machine? Fix It Easily and Fast! {Sponsored Review}

July 25, 2012 by Amber {contributor}

Sewing machine problems got you down? Do you need a cheap and easy way to fix it? The Sewing Machine Repair Guide For The Home Sewer might be just the thing you are looking for! This book offers easy step-by-step instructions to help you get your sewing machine back in running order in no time.With Reuben O. Doyle’s new book Sewing Machine Repair for the Home Sewer, you are sure to learn how to fix your sewing machine fast, and for good!

As all you fellow sewers know, when your sewing machine decides to break, it can be a huge hassle – a costly one, too! Whether it’s your daughter’s prom dress, your son’s ripped jeans, or a lovely quilt you were working on, all these things are dependent upon whether you are able to sew them. How are you supposed to finish these nifty little projects if your sewing machine is broken (and seems beyond repair)? I would recommend this extremely user-friendly book to you in a heartbeat.

This book is simple to read, clearly organized and gives you easy-to-follow instructions on how to fix many different things that could have gone wrong with your sewing machine. Some of the problems this book can help you to diagnose and fix are: sewing machine skips stitches, machine doesn’t run smoothly, lower thread breaks, machine needle breaks, and a lot more (trust me!). As a novice seamstress, I found this book very helpful and gave me much more confidence to tackle larger projects in the future!

Not only is this book easy to follow, but to help you even further they have put many diagrams into the book to give you a visual to go by. If you are like me, you HAVE to have something look at. This book may have the word “repair” in the title, but it also tells you other important things such as sewing machine timing, cleaning, oiling, lubrication, and even more. With the proper maintenance that this book suggests, perhaps you can avoid some of the “repair.” This book is perfect for anyone who has a broken sewing machine that needs to be fixed and can’t afford to take it to a professional. After all, why take it to someone that will take your hard-earned money when you can save time by fixing it yourself and get back to those neat little sewing projects.

    I’m going to be getting a sewing machine, hopefully soon, so this book would definitely come in handy! I’m sure I’ll get frustrated now and again!
