Yesteryear Soap {Sponsored Review}

Yesteryear Soap ~

Recently I was given the opportunity to review Yesteryear Soap. I received a 3 bar gift set of soaps that I got to choose myself. ๐Ÿ™‚ I chose Strawberry Vanilla, Cafe Mocha and Green Tea Mint.

Personally, I am always a little leery of trying new soaps because I have asthma and allergies (including sensitive skin). My daughter was very excited to try Yesteryear soap, though, just in case they were too strong for me. When we received the soaps, they were in a nice box with a bow, that would definitely make a great present! Also, in many cases for me, there are soaps that even though I love the way they make my skin feel, I can not use them because the smell is just too strong. This was not the case with YesterYear Soaps. The scent of each bar was there just enough to smell, but not overpowering, if you know what I mean.

My daughter tried the Vanilla Strawberry (and by tried, she yelled “MINE!” when I opened the box!). Here are her impressions – “It smelled good and it made my skin feel really smooth!”

My husband and I both tried the Cafe Mocha scented bar from Yesteryear Soap. I liked how it had little scrubby things in it (like some of the higher priced soaps I have tried in the past). The thing I liked best about the soap was that it smelled so good, but I would call it more of a “flirty” type scent. We have a smallish bathroom and I did not have any problem with the smell. As a matter of fact, I felt like I was in a coffee shop. It also doesn’t leave any type of film on your skin like many other soaps do. I hate when that happens. My skin felt soft and clean. ๐Ÿ™‚ And I didn’t smell like a perfumery, either!

The Cafe Mocha soap is definitely one that I would say is a “flavor” that both men and women can use. I thought my husband smelled great after he used it. His skin was also very soft. I know many men don’t care about all that, but us ladies do. ๐Ÿ˜‰ You can even buy the soap you love in a loaf from Yesteryear Soap!

We used the Green Tea Mint soap in the soap dish next to the sink. I did this because I wanted to see if it would dry our skin out with repeated use. It did not, in fact it did quite the opposite. After a couple of days of using the Green Tea Mint soap, I was using less hand lotion! And I can go through some hand lotion, let me tell you! This scent is also a “wake you up” type scent in my opinion. If you are not a morning person, this just might be the soap for you!

These are not the only scents they offer, by any means. So if these aren’t scents you are interested in, I am sure you will find something you like here! Also, be sure to check out their blog here!

    These look so cute, the packaging is adorable! I too have asthma and allergies so I totally understand being wary of trying new soaps and scents. It’s often hard to find things that don’t trigger attacks or an allergic reaction. This sounds like something I would like to try, especially the Green Tea Mint soap! Thanks for sharing ๐Ÿ™‚

      You are right! The packaging is great! It’s kind of minimalistic and I think it gives the immediate impression that this soap isn’t full of unnatural ingredients. ๐Ÿ™‚ The Green Tea Mint smells fabulous, I think you will like it!
