It’s Time For An Adventure

It's Time For An Adventure

You should always make time in your life for a little adventure. Adventure helps the soul grow, and it definitely helps to fill your life with some amazing experiences that you just wouldn’t be able to have if it weren’t for travel. Travelling itself and the way in which we do it has changed so much. We can now get to so many different countries around the world, with pretty much ease thanks to the advancements of flying. But, if there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that an adventure is going to set you back a little bit in the finances department. However, if you’re prepared to spend money on a takeaway every weekend, you should be more than prepared to spend some money seeing the world. All you need to do is come up with some form of budget, and make sure you stick to it. Planning an adventure can be done months in advance, and it earlier in advance you do it, the more prepared you’re going to feel. But don’t always assume that an adventure is going to be expensive, you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your own country! So, if you know it’s time for an adventure, we’re here to help. Here’s how you can have the adventure of a lifetime.

It’s Time For An Adventure

Pick Your Adventure

This is the first step in your adventure planning. Where do you think you might want to go, or what do you think you might like to do. There’s a holiday out there for everyone. For the people who want to see the city sites. For the people who want to relax on a beach. And for the people who like some serious adventure, and go on sports holidays! But actually deciding what type of holiday you want can be hard. Your heart might be torn between seeing a city, or lying on a beach. So why not think of combining the two. If you travel to Monaco for example, you’ve got the lovely beaches, but you’ve also got the rich history in the towns. If you want to do something really different, you could always think about keeping it cheap, but keeping it interesting, by having a little camping holiday. We’ve already said that an adventure doesn’t have to mean leaving the comfort of your own country, so why spend the money hopping on a flight?! We guarantee that you can have just as much fun from a camping holiday, and if you go with your family, we guarantee you’ll have a much more personal experience. Tents are not that expensive to buy, especially if you’re going to get a few uses out of them. Then all you need to think about buying is things like a blow up bed, a sleeping bag etc. They’re such simple little purchases that really won’t affect your bank account. You can go camping anywhere in the world as well, you shouldn’t feel as though you’re just limited to your own country. All you need to do is add the tent on to your flight as extra baggage, and pick a lovely destination. It’s still going to be a lot cheaper than if you were to book a hotel and everything else that that entails.

Pick Your Partner

This is another essential component to the adventure planning. You need to make sure you’re picking your partner in crime well, as they really can determine how your holiday is going to go. You’ve got the people who will make it the best time of your life, and you’ve got the people you might spend most of your time arguing with! So, if you want some serious fun, then your friends are probably the best people to go with. They will no doubt fill the holiday with so much laughter, but there is also the chance of a bit of bickering. If you’re spending a long amount of time in close quarters, then a few little arguments are going to happen. But not as much as they would if you went with your family! Family always have conflicting views about what to do, and where to be. A little family vacay is probably only going to be good for a few days. Your partner is another good source of company. They’re the people that you should be able to spend an eternity around, so a holiday with them could be the perfect thing for you. Again, you might face the odd argument or two, but it’ll be nothing that could jeopardise the fun you’re going to have on your travels!

Pack Right

If you’re going on an adventure, you need to master the art of not packing too much, but not packing too little. It’s an art that hardly anyone can master. Most girls end up packing far too much for their holiday, and wonder why the money they spend is going to have been wasted! Others pack too little, and find themselves running round the local shops trying to find something that’s going to fit, and going to suit the. So, the best thing you can do it outfit plan. Think about how many outfits you’re going to need for the night, and how many you’re going to need for the day. If you’re going on a sunny holiday, it’s important to remember not to overpack on the day outfits. You’re going to be spending most of your time on a beach in a bikini, you’re not going to need anything too fancy! However, the night time is your time to shine, so make sure you have an outfit for every night, even if you find yourself just staying in the hotel restaurant for one of them. There’s nothing nicer than knowing you look really lovely on a holiday, especially when you have a nice tan to go with it. We all know that holiday shopping can be expensive as well, so try and hunt for some bargains. The best place to look is always going to be online. There’s just so much more variety there!

Go For Good

This is something that a lot of you might find scary, but why not consider travelling for good? Well, not for good, but for a long period of time. If you’re going to go on an adventure, there is no bigger adventure than going travelling around the world for a few months. Something like this is obviously going to take a long while to plan, but the world isn’t going anywhere, so you’ve got the time to do so! It’s a big commitment, so the main thing you need to do is make sure that you’ve got enough money to get you through. A lot of people chose to travel and work along the way, allowing their travel plans to be prolonged. Of course, you don’t always have to go on your own. If you know someone who is a budding traveller, see if they will go along with you! It’s always better when you know you have company. There are many ways of keeping this cheap, and backpacking is definitely one of them. If you’re going to go around travelling the world, you’re not going to be able to do it by staying in luxurious hotels, it just doesn’t work that way!

Keep It Cheap

Keeping it cheap is pretty easy when travelling. All you need to do is find a way to be frugal, both before your holiday and during. We’ve already spoke about how online shopping is the best way to get your clothes for cheap, but there are so many other things you’re going to have to buy. Your holiday money is just one example. The exchange rate is just so poor at the minute, there’s really no point buying them from your local store. However, one place that you can get a slightly better rate on is the internet. Trusted online sellers of currency do such better deals than you would ever find in a supermarket. If you’re thinking about going on an all inclusive holiday, then then think about whether you actually need it to be all inclusive. If you consider going half board, you’ll be able to save hundreds on your holiday… literally. The price you pay to have the label of half price on your holiday is extensive. With half board, you get all of your meals included, you just don’t get the drinks. But think about it, how much time do you actually spend at the hotel, and how much do you think you would spend on drinks throughout a week? We guarantee it’s not enough to warrant paying hundreds more for all inclusive!

Treat Yourself To Luxury

We’ve talked about keeping it cheap and doing things on a budget, but sometimes you just have to treat yourself to a bit of luxury. Even if one of your adventures is just a week away in a luxury hotel, doing absolutely nothing! Don’t rule out the expensive option every once in a while, because the expensive option is sometimes the best!
