Wound Care At Home With Cardinal Health

As some of you may know from a previous post of mine, my daughter was in the hospital a few years ago with appendicitis. Due to this, she was taken into surgery to have her appendix removed. After getting her home, taking care of her wound from surgery was our main concern. We needed to keep it clean and well on the track to healing in order to make sure she didn’t wind up going back to the hospital. This was hard at times because we were forced to drive to many different stores just to find the right medical tools to keep her wound sanitized and covered. Even more, it was hard to find high-quality items to use for her, everything was very basic and the bare minimum of what was needed. I wish we had known about Cardinal Health™.

Recently, Cardinal Health has created a series of medical tools designed especially for nonprofessionals taking care of someone, or themselves, at home. Due to Cardinal Health being a company that supplies many high end medical facilities with their products, you can easily trust their brand. Recently, we got to review their Advanced Wound Care Kit. Everything you could need is in this kit. It allows you to take care of things such as burns, blisters and surgical wounds without over drying them. This way, the wound can heal much faster. This kit is also ideal for patients at home who spend a great deal of their time in bed. Due to being in bed so much, many patients develop bed sores. This kit has everything you need to take care of a wound such as that as well.

If we had had this kit for Amber, we would have saved a ton of money, stress, and time. It’s always hard to see your child go through any type of surgery, but it’s even worse to have to worry about whether you are properly taking care of them. With this kit, I could have easily cleaned her surgical wound, and redressed it without having to worry about whether I was forgetting something, or if her wound was going to get infected. I am beyond thankful to have one of these kits in our home now – I am definitely a much more relaxed mom because of it.
