How A Revolving Menu Can Benefit Your Dog #sponsored #AvoDermNatural

September 29, 2015 by Dawn McAlexander

This post is sponsored by Avoderm and the BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network. I am being compensated for helping spread the word about Avoderm Revolving Menu but Cheap Is The New Classy only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. Avoderm is not responsible for the content of this article.

The Benefits Of A Revolving Menu For Your Dog #sponsored #AvoDermNatural

If you have been reading the pet section of this blog recently, you have discovered that our dog, Daisy Baby, has been dealing with some allergies. So, we have been experimenting with her food to try to help alleviate some of her symptoms. Did you know that feeding your dog a revolving menu can help prevent your dog from developing allergies to the proteins in the food? So, Avoderm Naturalยฎ has challenged me {er, Daisy Baby} to try their revolving menu dog food for 6 weeks and let them know how Daisy likes it. Of course, I will be letting you guys know, too. ๐Ÿ˜‰

We have been doing a limited ingredient diet with Daisy Baby for a few months now and we can definitely see an improvement. So, I am excited to see what a limited ingredient diet and revolving menu can do for her.

How A Revolving Menu Can Benefit Your Dog {sponsored} #AvoDermNatural

The Benefits Of A Revolving Menu

Revolving Menu helps pet parents avoid food sensitivities :
*Help minimize the risk of food sensitivities by varying proteins
*Switch proteins with stomach/digestive upset (duck today, lamb tomorrow!)
*Grain Free, Gluten Free
*A limited ingredient list to help further minimize sensitivities
*Meat Protein as the first ingredient
*No white potatoes or fillers

We are definitely all about minimizing food sensitivity risk in this house. Even though our chihuahua, Puppy Mister, is fine to eat anything, Daisy Baby is not. So, we try to be very careful about what we serve our dogs. Plus, having duck one day and lamb tomorrow sounds tasty. We humans don’t want the same thing everyday. Perhaps our dogs don’t either.

Avoderm Is Made With Superfoods!

Avoderm is made in the USA, in California, and is created using superfood Avocados and other high quality proteins. This means it’s made with the best possible ingredients for your fluff. But what makes avocados so special anyway?

Avocadoes are a nutrient rich SuperFood
*Avocados are a nutrient booster that helps pets absorb more of the nutrients they need
*Avocados are rich in heart healthy fats and omega 3&6 fatty acids
*Avocados are packed with antioxidants and nearly 20 vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients, including vitamins A, C, E & B6 for overall health

The Benefits Of A Revolving Menu For Your Dog #sponsored #AvoDermNatural

We feed ourselves superfoods and tasty things packed with vitamins. It stands to reason that we should do the same for our furry friends. I want my little fluffs around for as long as possible and I want them to be happy and healthy. So, I am looking forward to this challenge. I am excited to see what Daisy Baby thinks about the new food.

Try Avoderm For Yourself

Avoderm challenges you to try the food for six weeks and see the results for yourself! We would love to hear about your results, too. Follow along as I share Daisy’s experience over the next few weeks.

Who wants to eat the same food every day? I Love the idea of a revolving menu!

My own Daisy is allergic to many foods and fillers, so we started using AvoDerm about a year ago. No problems since! I hope your Daisy has the same great luck.

Two Daisies are better than one, eh? ๐Ÿ˜› I am glad to hear that your Daisy is doing so well on AvoDerm. ๐Ÿ™‚

this is a great idea. I have cats and they are picky so we give them the same thing but having a dog is awesome especially when being able to change the menu.

I had never heard of this before, but it makes a lot of sense. I think my dog would be thrilled to have more variety in his diet.

First of all, your dog is the cutest. Secondly, thanks for sharing this. My dog is almost as picky as a cat, so I could definitely stand to try this.

      September 30, 2015 at 8:14 am

Thank you! Fortunately, Daisy Baby is not very picky at all. She will eat pretty much anything, but Puppy Mister sounds like your dog. He actually turns his nose up at some foods, lol.

I love that they have a large variety. My mom has to limit what her dog has as well, I will have to mention this brand to her.

Oh my gosh your dog is adorable! I love the black spot over his eye! Our old dog had food allergies, I wish I knew this was out there when he was still here. I would have loved to explore this food.

Thank you! We love that spot over her eye, too. It makes her look kind of like a raccoon. ๐Ÿ™‚

I think the idea behind a revolving menu for dogs is smart. I’ve always thought it must be boring to eat the same food every day. It really makes sense to address any food allergies too!

poor Daisy baby ๐Ÿ™ Allergies are the worst! Daisy sure is a cutie, hopefully Daisy Baby enjoys the food and begins to feel better from those pesky allergies!

    What an adorable little face!
When we had the cats we liked to switch up their food just to keep them from getting bored and not eating it. LOL!
Never thought it would benefit them to be totally honest with you.

WE just got a new puppy, so I find this article fascinating! I didn’t realize that you should rotate diets. I though if you found a good one you should stick to it for life.!

I’ve never heard of this brand before but like the idea of the different menu while still have the same dog food. I never like to switch by dogs food due to his sometimes sensitive stomach.

What a lovely baby. My friend and I were just talking about our little babies and their allergies. It is so saddening and frustrating for them to deal with and they seem to be way more miserable than their human counterparts dealing with the side effects. I’m starting my pups on the 6-week challenge soon, too!

This sounds like a neat kind of dog food. Our shepherds have sensitivities to chicken so they eat a lamb and rice diet.

Awww, thanks. We definitely think she is just too cute. She sleeps with me at night and this morning she was all wrapped up in the covers right in the middle of the bed. She was super lazy and it took forever to get her up, lol.

I honestly thought dogs were like cats and that you weren’t supposed to change up their diets. I love that you have taught me otherwise! I have always wondered how boring that must be for animals to eat the same thing ever day

  24. Jenn Peters says

    September 29, 2015 at 10:48 pm

I also rotate the menu of my fur babies. It used to be that when they like something, that’s what I give them all the time until they get tired of it. When I started rotating their menu, I noticed that they eat more.

    September 30, 2015 at 7:19 am

Your baby is so adorable and I hope she does well with the challenge. I will have to look into the Avoderm Natural dog food as well as the challenge. It sounds like amazing food for our fur babies and I love that it has the avocados in it too with all the health benefits. Thanks for sharing.

Reading your post was a classic “AHA MOMENT!” One of those conclusions you should have thought of yourself eons ago but didn’t. We have a just over a year old Boston Terrier, and although he gets a bit a variety from snacks and other treats we give him, overall his major dietary source has gone unchanged. We’re guilty too of feeding our little guy the same dog food for quite a while. If he could talk I’m certain he would say, “Hey, can we switch it up in the doggie bowl mama?” So thanks for this very informative and educational reminder. I’ve also never heard of this brand of dog food before, I’ll have to see if they carry it at our local PetSmart. Thank you.

    September 30, 2015 at 9:08 am

It is great that people are paying such good attention to the ingredients inside dog food. It is important that we pay attention to their dietary needs, just as we pay attention to our own.
