Fl!ppin’ Out! Board Game {Sponsored Review}

March 5, 2012 by Dawn McAlexander

I love the bright, exciting colors used on the box!

Have you ever been on a long car ride and everyone takes turns naming something in alphabetical order? For instance, everyone names a fruit – the first person gets A, the next person gets B and so on, until someone is stumped? My family does that all the time! Sometimes we up the ante and we have to name specific types of birds or electrical equipment or something else that is more challenging. I love these types of games, and this is what Fl!ppin’ Out! reminds me of. However, Fl!ppin’ Out! is more difficult and far more fun! I love most any type of board games, for that matter (and Endless Games has quite a few to choose from).

Including the instructions, Fl!ppin’ Out! comes with…

. Game Board
. Spinner
. 220 cards (880 Categories)
. 4 Pawns
. 1 10-second timer
. 24 Letter Chips

Fl!ppin' Out! game pieces

In Fl!ppin Out!, each player has 10 seconds to name something in a category that is chosen by the spinner. Each player picks which letter he or she would like to use and then flips it over afterwards. This continues around the table until all of the players are eliminated but one. That person then advances his or her game piece forward one spot on the board. Note: If all of the letters are used before enough players are eliminated to declare a round winner, there is a “Flip-Flop Round.” We never made it to that though!

My husband and I are neck and neck!

This fame is really fun and fast. You don’t have to worry that you are committing yourself to 2 or 3 hours with this game, if you don’t want to. I think this game would be great for parties and it can be played in teams, as well. So, the more the merrier. The categories are not too difficult for children to play either (and younger players get to go first, so kiddies will love that). It says that it is for ages 10+ but I think there are some smaller children who could play this with no problems, especially if they are on teams.

I win! I win! {Such a gracious winner am I!}

Many retailers offer a wide variety of Endless Games products. I actually saw a couple of their games at Barnes and Noble this past weekend. You can also purchase Fl!ppin’ Out! here. I absolutely love board games and this one is no exception. In the end, I whooped my husband at it, so I am sure that didn’t hurt either. 😉 I am sure that you will enjoy this game as much as my family and I did, and continue to do so. 🙂

    This sounds like so much fun. Kind of like Scattegories, but different.

      You know, Scattergories is actually one game I have never played. If it’s like Fl!ppin’ Out! I bet I would like it a lot though!

    I like the idea of a fast game, sounds fun. I can’t remember the last time I played a board game that wasn’t geared to a 4 year old lol

      No this one definitely isn’t. I know that in one part we had to name Medical Professions. Now, a child could say “nurse” or “doctor” but my husband and I were saying thinks like “phlebotomist” and “x-ray technician.” Yes, we found a way to use the X! This game can be as easy or as hard as you make it. I think it suits a wide age range. 🙂
