I had rotary cuff surgery back in nov for a tear and have had my arm in a big big sling for 7 weeks, and was constantly tired and its hard as heck to hold a book open with one hand..NOW I have the sling off and can lift 2 pounds!! so I am back to reading but boy DID I MISS IT lol. I am currently reading all of my daughters books (mostly R.L.Stine stuff that I read as a teen LOL) just because I have run out of things to read. I hope to buy an ereader this year (Walmart has them down to $88) and hope that I can catch up

so for me 2012 is a read whatever you can get your hands on type of year

Wow! I am sorry to hear that! Glad you are feeling better now, though! Hope you fully recover quickly!

If you are looking for good small book suggestions – how about “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck, “1984” by George Orwell or “Bridge to Terabithia” by Katherine Patterson, if you haven’t read either of those. 🙂

Hopefully I will be reading this new Stephen King book. 🙂 Love his writing and stories. Some recent ones I have read of his were Under the Dome and Duma Key. Both great stories!

I bought 2 copies, one for me and one for this giveaway and I am currently reading mine. I have to say, it is really good, so far. 🙂 I have read 15-20 of his books, but neither of those. Several people have suggested “Under the Dome” to me, i need to check it out! My personal fave is “The Stand.”

      Good luck!

I have read a ton of his books and John Grisham’s because they are so consistently good. The only 2 Stephen King books that I wished I had missed are “Tommyknockers” and “Dark Half.” All the others were so good, it was worth it reading those two! 🙂

I’m really looking forward to picking up and reading “1Q84” by Haruki Murakami. The book design is beautiful and I’ve heard rave reviews. The sheer volume of it as a 900+ page book seems enough of an inspiration and reading challenge for me.

Mind you, “11/22/63” by Stephen King is also a “big” book. Would like to read that, too. 😛

I am just looking forward to being able to read. I have 5 kids, including 3 that are between the ages of 22 months and exactly 4 and a half…been hard to get any “alone” time to read the last 4 or 5 years.

11/22/63!! I’m a die-hard Dean R Koontz fan, but I got my start with Stephen King. Under the Dome was disappointing … I hope this one delivers.

I am reading 11/22/63 now and, boy, is it ever good. I would like to read Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy Bundle. My 19 yr. old son took me to the movie, “Girl w/a dragon tattoo”. It was pretty graphic (in parts) but I really liked the story line and the characters so now I want to read the books!
I have not read Back from Oz yet. Be a pleasure to win.
    Thank you.

I didn’t agree that the book was better. I didn’t even really like the book much at all and I loved the movie. But, I was in the minority. 🙂 Most people do seem to like the book. I have a review of it on this blog (under Reviews on the Menu). I would love to know what you think after you are done reading it. 🙂
