3 Ingredient Cherry Dump Cake

I have always liked the idea of making a cake from scratch but my skills in the kitchen go about as far as boiling water. Also, many ingredients haven’t been readily available recently. But, alas, I wanted cake, So, my friend Pam hooked me up with this super easy recipe for Cherry Dump Cake that I am sharing with you guys today on this #TastyTuesday. I have also provided the link to her tasty recipe [mine is slightly different from the original] as well at the bottom. Enjoy!

3 Ingredient Cherry Dump Cake

Ingredients

• 1 regular box of cake mix [white or yellow – I used yellow]
• 1 stick butter, melted
• 1 can [21 ounces] cherry pie filling

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Melt the butter in the microwave for 30 seconds.
3. Pour the cake mix into a medium bowl and add the melted butter to the dry cake mix.
4. Stir the mixture until it forms small crumbs.
5. Next, pour the cherry pie filling in a 9″ by 13″ greased pan and top with the crumb mixture.
6. Bake about 30 to 35 minutes {mine took 35] or until top is lightly browned and cooked thoroughly.
7. Optional: Top with Vanilla Bean ice cream while the dump cake is hot and serve. Yum!
