We just love our little, chihuahua furbabies. I mean, look at those faces! Who wouldn’t? I never knew how great adopting a pet could be until I adopted a few of my own. & Things To Include In A Chihuahua Gift Basket
1. Treats – Since chiuhuahuas are so tiny {awwww!} they need small treats. Be sure to buy some that are specially made for small dogs. I like to get a variety as each chihuahua has their own preference as to which treats they will like best. I also like to open them and put them in airtight containers so they stay fresh longer.
2. Foods – I like to put small dishes of wet food in a chihuahua gift basket. In this one, I put 8 different varieties. Again, you don’t know which kind each chihuahua will prefer, so a variety to sample to begin with is a great idea.
3. Stuffed Animal – My chihuahuas love to snuggle stuffed animals. So, I like to make sure they have a few available at all times. Now, be sure to watch the puppy with stuffed animal. If it chews on it, you should probably take it away. After all, you do not want a piece coming off that your furbaby can choke on. My chihuahuas don’t chew on stuff so this works great for us.
4. Small Cover – In my experience, chihuahuas are some really cold-natured dogs. They sleep with us at night and get way down in the covers. But, during the day, they also like to snuggle up in covers, so we always have some lying around on the furniture for them to crawl under.
5. Wipes – Daisy always gets something in her fur. Trust. From treats that she has slobbered into submission to wet dog food all over her face, we find that we go through a lot of dog wipes.
6. Pee Pads – As with any new pet, there might be accidents. Ok, there will be accidents. We find that these help a lot in the training process.
