Habits Of Pet Bloggers On Social Media {Infographic}

I just love my little dogs. I think most people who read this blog have met my dogs, Puppy Mister and Daisy Baby, on here on occasion. I am also a member of many blog groups, but BlogPaws is one of my favorites. I love working with companies that actually care about pets and want to make the best toys, food and other products for them possible. So, to help give companies ideas of what we pet owners want for our furbabies, besides doing product reviews, I also answer questionnaires and surveys.

Pet Bloggers On Social Media

This blog is a lifestyle blog in that we cover a variety of topics. One of those is our pets. We like to talk about pet food, health and fun toys for them and give advice to others on how to care for their pets. So, that also makes us pet bloggers. 🙂

If you wonder about the habits of Pet Bloggers, here is an infographic based on research conducted by BlogPaws based on information submitted on almost 500 surveys. Check this out and I will tell you how I may or may not differ.

How Do I Stack Up Individually Vs. The Group?

As far as which social media networks are valuable, I agree, Google+ is the least valuable to me. On my entertainment blog, Eat Play Rock, sometimes an artist interview or something will do well over there, but that is about it. I think Pinterest is the most valuable social media network to me and Facebook and Instagram would be next.

I apply for campaigns all the time {and get quite a few across different networks} and I blog almost every day. I do follow brands on social media and I try hard to remember to follow every company that I work or that I use in day-to-day like that I think my readers might enjoy. And, yes, I am on social media a ton! Trust me. I am on some network all day long it seems. 🙂

BlogPaws 2015 Conference

I plan on going to the BlogPaws 2015 Conference May 28-30 in Nashville, TN. I admit that I don’t know many bloggers, personally, so I am particularly excited to hopefully get to meet Kimberly from Saving More Than Me and Felissa from Two Little Cavaliers. Anyone else going that wants to meet up?

  • Hey there! I'm a pet blogger too. I have to agree that Google is the least valuable as far as bringing traffic to my blog. Facebook is the best, bringing in about 75% of my visitors! I enjoyed reading your post. Sweet pets you have there. And, oh, you can never provide too many blankets. I'll be seeing you around!

  • I bet BlogPaws is an awesome conference! I haven't attended that one, but I am sure my cats would love me if I did! :)

  • LOL!!! My dog has her own crate with a bed and blankie inside. She loves to sleep there or against our cast iron heaters. She is part chihuahua so she LOVES to be very warm at all times.

    • Our chihuahua is definitely like that. He sleeps with us and crawls way down in the covers or sleeps right up against my back. They definitely love to be warm.

  • Have a blast at the Blog Paws Conference in Nashville! Thanks for sharing the social media statistics.

  • I am a dog lover and I love pet blogs. I read a few different ones and follow them on social media also.

  • I bet you will have so much fun at the Blog Paws Conference. Animal lovers plus bloggers sounds like a fun time.

  • I just joined Blog Paws, so I wasn't included in the survey. Pretty cool answers too!! I thought about putting it on my blog, but haven't yet. We just adopted 2 puppies.
