I have heard the same thing about watermelon. I also heard that it's good to eat if you are anemic because it helps your body absorb iron, though I am not sure if that's true or not.

I used to love watermelon when I lived in the south. I am not sure what the deal is but since moving to the north it just doesn't taste the same to me. I love it in its raw form, but haven't ever been a fan of watermelon based things.
I can't say that I have tasted one from the north. Next time I travel there, I will have to try one to see the difference.

Those all look delicious! I love watermelon so much! We get fresh squeezed watermelon juice from a local market and it is amazing! So refreshing on a hot day!
