Country People Love Boating
I am from the country and around here boating is a way of life. When I lived in Martinsville, Va., especially, people took their boats out on the surrounding lakes all summer. I used to know a guy who owned a boat and we would go out on Philpott Lake at least weekly. There really isn’t much in life more relaxing then going out on the boat when it’s dark, laying back and just looking up at the stars. We even took a family member out for her graduation. Graduation night on a boat! I told you country folks love boating.
Americans are taking to the water in record numbers: Of the 241.9 million adults in the US in 2013, 36.6%, or 88.5 million, participated in recreational boating at leastonce during 2013 – one of the highest percentages on record.

Gone Fishin’
You might remember reading about Johnetta’s son and nephew meeting some of their fishing heroes not too long ago on this blog. It’s great to fish from the shore or a pier, but it’s another experience altogether from a boat.
I am hoping to go boating some more this summer as I don’t get to go out nearly as often as I would like to. I haven't been out on a boat since I was a kid. I would love to get back out on the water.
I would love to go on the water. It has been years for me as well!
My boyfriend had a boat for years so we should rent one for the day since he knows how to drive them!

I would love to get on the water and go boating it is something I have never done personally. x
My brother is into the whole boating fishing deal. I have kids so am a bit nervous. Maybe when they get older although they do enjoy riding the ferry.
We are looking forward to going boating on the lake once we get settled from our move. I am getting worried that it will never be warm enough for us though. Fingers crossed that I am wrong.
I can imagine that was a huge change in climate for you guys. Hopefully you will adjust soon.
We are water babies, and flock to the sea whenever we can. no excuse will cut us short from going to the open water!
