Recently we were approached by the folks at Walker Edison to review one of their TV consoles. They gave us a few to choose from and we chose one that we thought would fit in with some of our bedroom furniture. We chose the Ash Grey and Black Urban Blend TV Console that will hold up to a 65″ TV.
Walker Edison Furniture is based in Salt Lake City, Utah and was established in 2006 with the goal in mind to let people “Live Outside The Box.” Their idea was to supply their customers with leading edge furniture for the home office, home entertainment, bedroom, casual dining or outdoor living just to name a few. This is furniture for areas of the home where most people don’t consider furniture. That is, until after they have purchased all their other furniture and realize that they need a piece for their office or TV stand!
The Walker Edison Urban Blend 60″ TV Console in Ash Grey and Black is a reclaimed urban design made of high-grade fiberboard with double lamination, so its sturdy. It will hold up to 250 pounds, so it will easily support up to a 65″ TV! And, believe it or not, the black ends are made of steel, not wood, which adds to the sturdiness of the piece!
Our TV isn’t quite that big, so we felt that it would be better to use it for something other than a TV stand. This is one of the great things about this TV console, it is multi-functional! We turned it into a “travel stand” with a globe and pieces that we collected on our overseas travels. We will be adding some pictures to it someday as soon as we go through our pictures and determine which ones we want to print out.
The Walker Edison Urban Blend TV Console also has two concealed storage cabinets and a sturdy storage shelf. If you do choose to put your TV on it, these are great for storing DVDs and Blu-Ray Discs, or remote controls. There is also a shelf underneath the top shelf for your DVD and Blu-Ray player, or a small stereo or sound bar, whatever you would like to use it for.

I like the Urban Blend 60" TV Stand - Ash Grey/Black. We are trying to redo our downstairs and want to get a new tv and stand. Right now it is on a dresser so this would be a big help to hold TV and give us some storage.
It makes such a difference to have the right stand.

What a beautiful (and functional) piece of furniture. It can be so hard to find a tasteful tv console. They always tend to look so out of place and more utilitarian than nice to look at!? I really love this piece...the weathered look with storage options too!

That's what I really like: multi-functional furniture. I like to move my furniture around a lot and I don't want to feel like I have to keep anything in one spot for long.
