Thanks to General Mills Big G Cereal for sponsoring today’s discussion and inspiring family fun!
I think that everyone loves cereal. I know that in our family it is a staple. We eat it for cereal and even sometimes for a snack or for dinner {especially when it’s really hot}. But did you know that now you can not only enjoy your cereal as a snack, but you can also get free movie downloads from Big G Cereals!
Free Movie Downloads From Big G Cereal
What better way is there to enjoy Family Movie Night than with great snacks and free movie downloads. That is where Big G Cereals comes in. Johnetta and I bought several boxes of Big G Cereal, which out families love, and they came with free movie downloads, as well. Johnetta’s daughter, Jacklyn, particularly loves Lucky Charms {they’re magically delicious, for real}, so we want to share her particular experience with you today.
To get your free movie downloads, simply buy specially marked boxes from the following Big G Cereals:
Honey Nut Cheerios™
Fruity Cheerios™
Frosted Cheerios™
Lucky Charms™
Reese’s Puffs®
Trix™
Cocoa Puffs ™
Golden Grahams ™
Downloading your movie is a snap. All Amber had to do was type in the codes that we received off of specially marked boxes of Big G Cereals. Two codes will get you one movie. The website is listed on the box as well as the easy to follow instructions. Then we browsed through the movie selections and chose the one that Jacklyn wanted to see and on what medium I wanted to watch it. We chose Google Play so that Jacklyn could watch the Big G Cereal movie she chose, Marmaduke, on her phone.
You can also watch your free movie downloads on a variety of other electronic devices. One that we love is Vudu on our smart TV. That is the one that we use most often for family night, but it’s really fun for a child to watch a movie on their phone. Either way, movie downloads are handy and you can easily have your movie wherever you like. So, be sure to get your free movie downloads on specially marked boxes of Big G Cereals while supplies last.
*Please note that all movies must be downloaded prior to August 31, 2015.
Cocoa Puffs Peanut Chocolate Chunk Recipe
On the sides of the Big G cereals included in this promotion are recipes for snacks that will go great with your movies. We made Cocoa Puffs Peanut Chocolate Crunch. We are sharing the recipe below, changed just a little to suit our tastes, but you can get the original recipe on the side of the Cocoa Puffs box. 🙂
You will need…
3 cups of Vanilla Rice Chex cereal
2 cups of Cocoa Puffs cereal
1 cup dry roasted peanuts
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks
The complete directions are on the side of the box, but I will give you the Cliff Notes version here. 😉
Preparation…
1. Mix the cereals and peanuts in a large, microwavable bowl.
2. Microwave the brown sugar, peanut butter and butter on high, uncovered, in a 2 cup microwavable cup for 1 minute. Stir. Then microwave for one more minute until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.
3. Pour the microwave mixture over the cereal. Make sure to cover it evenly.
4. Microwave the entire mixture on high for 3 minutes, stirring each minute.
For best results, you should pour this on wax paper evenly, and then cut into bars. We just poured it in a bowl and it’s still great. 🙂

I heard about this campaign yesterday, and I think it sounds like a blast! I am already brainstorming my cereal combinations.
Never tried Lucky charms,I think it is really great that they are doing free movie downloads.More reasons to eat cereal.
I've heard of this and I really need to make an effort to buy Honey Nut Cheerios this weekend. My child loves Cheerios (and I love movies.)
Very cool idea! I love it! We love Lucky Charms!
I just heard on the news that Lucky Charms has had a recent boost in popularity again. Funny, because after not having it for probably a decade, I just recently bought a couple of boxes. :)
I used to eat it a lot years ago and then stopped for a while. But here recently, I have been eating a lot of it. It's so good. The heart wants what the heart wants. :)
I love just plain ole Cheerios. I love this free movie offer
This is fantastic. I will have to have a cereal snack now..
