Fun Fact #3: Perhaps the most famous kiss, taken on August 14, 1945, was between two strangers. The photo is called “The Kiss” and features a sailor {George Mendonsa} kissing a nurse {Greta Friedman} in a WWII era photo seen round the world. Sadly, the man in the photo, passed away earlier this year. The pair were briefly reunited in 2012. Several people have claimed to be both the kissing sailor and the nurse in the picture over the years.
