Learn How You Can Help Truvia Provide Safe Food To Those In Need #sponsored #SweetFuture

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Truvia® Natural Sweetener . All opinions are 100% mine.

I think that most of us Americans know that we have it good. We also know that there are many countries that are either developing or underdeveloped and Truvia® wants to help make the future brighter for some of the kids who are growing up in poor economic conditions by Sharing A Sweet Future. To get more of a perspective on what Truvia® has in mind, let’s take a look at life in Bolivia.

Economic Hardship In Bolivia

Did you know that over 40% of families in Bolivia struggle to support even the basic needs of their children? The economic climate in Bolivia is so bad, in fact, that over two thirds of the country is below the poverty line. And there are horrible repercussions because of this. Almost all of Bolivia’s children suffer from nutritional deficiencies and do not receive a healthy minimum for a recommended daily caloric intake. Primitive cooking techniques that are still in use in this country also are not up to today’s safety standards, so food borne pathogens and harmful smoke exposure cause more illnesses in this poor country. Because of this, Truvia® has teamed up with World Food Program USA to help provide Bolivian kids and families with a sweeter future.

Sharing A Sweet Future: What Is Truvia Doing To Help Bolivians?

Thanks to the Truvia® brand’s “Sharing a Sweet Future” charitable initiative, over 34,705 Bolivian school children have already received more nutritionally-balanced school meals, and Bolivian locals have received 68 fuel efficient stoves, allowing another 3,574 students to eat cooked meals in a safer environment.

How Can You Help With Sharing A Sweet Future?

Did you know that $1 can feed 4 kids? The Truvia® team has created an informative video series that highlights the everyday hardships experienced by those that live in Bolivia. And you can help. Truvia is asking consumers to view and share these videos on Facebook or Twitter using #SweetFuture to support our initiative. Learn even more about the Truvia® brand’s initiative here and check out the Sharing A Sweet Future Facebook App. The more you share their videos and message on Facebook and Twitter, the more people will know. The more people who know about this initiative, the more people we can all help in Bolivia.

  • My family is very blessed. We are so appreciative of what we have, where we live, and are belief in God. We try to give back and help others. We weren't always in a position to but it is important to help where you can. I love it when companies realize how fortunate. They are and the need out there and try to help. Good for Truvia!

  • There are so many ways you can help out others around you who are less fortunate. I think it is always important to give back when you are able.

  • We are huge fans of Truvia; and even more now, as I love companies that give back... thanks so much for letting me know

  • Kudos to Truvia for this initiative. I love hearing that a big company is doing so much to give back.

  • Statistics like you mention break my heart! I don't use many sweeteners outside of baking, but I love that Truvia is doing something to help! They must be a brand with a big heart!

  • This just tears my heart out, but the mothers love shown in the first video is so heartwarming. Thanks for sharing this, it's hard to believe just a small amount of money can provide so much for those that need food!
