TV Shopping On Black Friday

My husband and I were really wanting a new TV this year. We had a nice 32 inch that I had purchased new in the late 90s, but it finally died so we ended up having to go back to a small one that was like 13 or 15 inches or something else like that. Ugh. So, my husband and I went shopping a little early this year for a TV {today, as a matter of fact}. Now we have a 42 inch flat screen TV in our living room! 😀 Now that is more like it.

Having said all that, we also want one in our bedroom as we gave ours that was in there originally to our daughter. Ideally, we would like to move our new 42 inch TV into our bedroom and get a slightly larger one for the living room. So, everyone is telling me how great it is to shop the Black Friday Sales for electronics and such. As a big item Black Friday novice, I have never purchased a TV on the shopping holiday, though I have bought movies and other smaller items. However, this year could be the start of a brand new tradition.

So, my questions are: Do you like to shop in Black Friday? If so, do you shop with a plan in mind or do you just like to play it by ear and see what goodies are for sale when you hit the stores? What should my game plan be as a relative Black Friday novice? What advice do you have for me?
